First, I'm so glad I caught this video before I definitively select my Clawfoot because otherwise I wouldn't have known the practical effects of inside-mount vs. deckmount. Sweet. Second, you're an awesome speaker--natural-sounding communication of vip factual info. and nice & succinct. :-)

I have a clawfoot tub that has been built around and cover for years... tore out wood around tub and now I see why it has been covered. What products do I need to buy to clean rust and what kind of paint do I buy to paint exterior of tub. Also, what does re-plating the claw feet mean? Can you paint these also along with the outside of tub or do you use something else? Inside of tub is good except for a water line/ rust mark straight down from faucets.... what do I clean this with?
Can you use and or PVC piping ? I was told two different answers. Yes and no the O.D of abs is too thick and won't fit with all the hardware that goes inthe drain holes and overflow
