Intro to Close Quarters Battle / Eps.15

As we begin our journey down the preverbal rabbit hole that is Close Quarters Battle (CQB) or Close Quarters Combat (CQC), we begin with the initial task of selecting the right personal equipment. This equipment should only include the items necessary to complete your mission. One should remember that the more streamline your kit, the better you should be able to move through confined spaces quietly and without getting caught up on all matter of things.

Love ur guys channel just found it. Been on a team (part and fulltime) for 12 years. Gear familiarity and planning are the most important first step. Thank God ive had squared away TLs. Get a stronger table tho ha!

@@hellotheremyolfriend Appreciate the support! Hope you can find some guys close to you who are into the same interest. Maybe try your local range, most host training and/or events. A lot of folks are getting into air soft because it’s not as restrictive in some places, while allowing guys to train on different tactics together. It takes a little effort, but “buddies” are out there, you just have to find them. Until then, you’ve got US Overwatch! 🤙🏼

You guys make good videos. But... I always have some critiquing or something to add. Not to take away from what you're trying to do here, but exactly what situation and when would you apply these skills? Outside of military operations and law enforcement? I'm curious to know.

Not 100% sure… maybe someone will chime in with an example, but until then… The first reason is what we said in the video, so many people / students have been asking for it. So even if it’s just for the joy of learning, then it’s still not a bad thing. The second (for me at least) is that “knowing things” just makes me feel better while going throughout my day. I’ve cleared 100s of structures through out my career, & I just like knowing should the need arise I’d be able to do so fairly proficiently. Guess it’s like the saying that’s going around now, “better to be a warrior in a garden, than a gardener in a war”. Always enjoy the conversation with you, so glad to see you’re still with us! 🤙🏼

@USOverwatch Here's my whole logic and planning on CQB for say...collapse of society. Scorched earth policy. I was once told "The Army is a business." Now when you factor in a risk assessment, what potential casualties are, and the cost of food, fuel, ammo, you start to think of a different approach. Guy goes down in combat in the Army you get a replacement. You've got all these logistical assets. In a collapse? Unless you're rich and have mass amounts of people you won't have that luxury. Again it comes down to costs versus gains. Scorched earth. Destroy the position and move on. Don't waste time, people, assets on a gamble. Destroy it and move onto the next objective.

Check out our video on the West Coast armor plates, its some seriously good stuff. The goal with this video was to show rigs and setups that can be carried in everyday bags, so running lighter plates that offer superior protection is always ideal.

I made it myself. Added Velcro to the back of a MagSafe battery and stuck it inside a juggernaut holder. Holds it well so far, and keeps the phone charged up. 😉
