This video covers some of the basic level editing tools found in CryEngine. We recommend watching our CryEngine setup tutorial for help downloading and installing the plugins. • CryEngine3 Setup
This is actually one of the best tutorials ive ever seen in my life ive watched so many tutorials on game desing from RPG maker to Cry engine and by far you sir take the award!
Damn CryEngine is the best engineer and development tool ever I played a game which he we're developed by cryengine which name is Warface! this is amazing
don't care bout engine, not my job but damn the scene is beautiful, i plan to getting into environment creation in the industy, i am stuck in my learning phase, i just am not getting things done, too scared of getting my hands dirty, i know maya but need to learn substance suite, zbrush, marmoset toolbag, marvelous designer, UE4, unity, etc,
Exceptional tutorial. Although I already knew most if not all of the content covered in this video, it was good to have a refresher. Thanks! Is there an ETA on the lighting tutorial for CryEngine?
haha nah, cryengine has full multithreading support now and has for awhile. It is still a demanding engine but dear god is so beautiful. i dont care what it takes, this is the one im learning
This is an awesome tutorial and I have a suggestion for future videos... In the description it'd be super helpful to have the list of things you explain with the time link that viewers can click to quickly find the info they need. Even without that though definitely subscribing
this is so FKING COOL i just bought some assets that i hope i can make a simple survival game with basic enemys and vehicles ty for the intro to this *subscribe*
Joseph Walter W Joyce well I've been working hard on it most of the layout and terrain is complete i am stuck right now though trying to put psd files onto the terrain texture
This was very interesting and the narration was clear, well-stated, and easy to follow. It amazes me how far game creation has come - user-level game/level level design and content creation is now more complex and advanced that working with professional-level 3D modeling programs like Infini-D 4 or Ray Dream Studio way back in 2000-2003 when I was doing it. So crazy.
Shadows and other types of accents use GPU power. Adding shadows may decrease performance, when he says expensive it means it may use up a lot of resources.
One quick question: If I buy this program, can I freely commercialize the games I make? Other quick question: All the assets and textures seen here look amazing, are they included?
Raven7b Lumberyard released and it's based off of Cryengine 3 and is 100% free for commercial use. They also implemented new features like a nice new animation system and their own visual scripting system.
So AWESOME... but one suggestion (and I'm guessing I'm not the only one to comment on this): Why not post your Videos in HD... instead of low-rez so we can see the "settings" on the PS Tool Bars? Otherwise... Fantastic Stuff! Thanks for Posting!
How can i make a black game with small dots? I need it for my eye exercises but i don't know how. Most of these tutorials are for serous big game programming. It's pretty much a black background with a small yellow dot or a circle that i can give directions to. Left right up down simple as that. That should be really easy to make, right? Help please. Because then i can make exercises for myself and not adapt to other posted on RU-vid (really low number of videos).
Can anyone help me out here? Anytime I got into full screen by pressing Alt+Enter after going into game mode (Ctrl+G), the screen goes black. Does anyone have any idea how to fix this?
Ok, a couple questions, is this the same version that I can get through steam? Can I get assets from the community, or do I need to make them using blender or maya? Do I need to know how to write code to use Cryengine?
Hey, I was just wandering if the CryEngine on steam comes with any free to use assets? Or any at all for that matter? I just made a new map and there is not even a simple grass texture :(
can anyone help me? if i paint over a texture with a different texture, black bars start to show up like they're part of some sort of grid and it messes it up? any way i can stop this from happening?
Hey there When I put something on the ground and delete it the the shadow don't delete. He stay there and I can't do anything. So my hole map is dark cause this shadow. Please can someone help me.
Do you have, or will you be working on more information regarding the Designer mode? I am trying to work on some locations that I have to build in game, but can't get edges to sync up and such. Another issue I've had is that after editing a cube, the center/origin/rotation/location control center does not move based on the shape and I was wondering how to re-center it's origins.
mannn that's my first time i see a graphic/game making app!! actually you made me like it! but it looks pretty hard, how many years do i need to learn to be a good graphic maker?
Hello, im a digital painter, can i use cryengine to make some hi res scene and after that i make a render of it? Some PNG or JPEG image to overpainting on? BR.
I've only just stumbled across your channel and this was a great tutorial! I have never used CryEngine before and have always used UDK. But I think this looks phenomenal.
I use UE4, but this is probably one of your best tutorials. I would very much like to see more "conceptual" tutorials from you, rather than technical. This one was VERY helpful. Thank you.
hey Futurepoly, this was an amazing video and very helpful. if you can make more videos of this tht would be awesome and teach us how to use this program even more. you explain it so clearly and i want to learn it thanks
