Gelmix safely thickens breast milk and formula, and can be used for term infants over 6 pounds. Gelmix is often recommended to thicken liquids to reduce spit-up for breast milk or in addition to regular formula, as an alternative to anti reflux formulas. It is also recommended for dysphagia, when thickened liquids are indicated for safer swallowing.
Purathick thickens hot and cold liquids, and can be used for adults and children over 1 year old. Purathick is often recommend for people with dysphagia, who are recommended thickened liquids for safer swallowing.
Both thickeners are hypoallergenic, free of corn and free of xanthan gum.
