at 3:00 we can see my city's coat of arms: Stuttgart, Germany! Amazing series, my friend! Would it be possible to do a tutorial on how to create one's own arms? That would be amazing!

EliasZ Stuttgart has some beautiful arms. I would love to do a design video, but it’s a very subjective thing and the most I could do is show the design process for a particular coat or a general video with some tips and tricks

@@Ralchire thank you! Well, that would be a great introduction to the process of creating personal arms. I can't find anything similar on RU-vid, so you'd be the first one to do so, I guess ^^

Thank you my good sir. I am making a fictional country which requires an emblem and though it is not a coat of arms, I still found heraldry quite interesting.

Thanks for this excellent explanation. I was researching what pages would be learning for a novel I'm writing, and heraldry came up. I had heard the word before, but realized I didn't actually know what it was.

Sweden also have the strict rules of heraldry on what you can have on your shield and so on to be able to register. Also social status if your noble, lord and so on.

This is great! I’m doing some digging to find which heraldic imagery is in my family (I found out I have some barons in the family line so I assume they would have had one) but if I can’t find it, I’m going to make my own 😂 I think it would be cool!

4:55 I should say that this illustration doesn't really fit the section it's in, as it seems to depict the English New Model Army; formed by parliamentarians during the English civil war, which did have a standardized uniform. Great video though

Hello, Ralchire. I'm Abraham Winston from the state of Texas. I recently designed a new coat of arms for the Winston Family after having discovered our history and that of the Winston name. I was hoping to speak to you about heraldry and get a better understanding. Would you be up for it?

@@Ralchire well, is there a better place to talk than the comment section or are you good here? I designed a new coat of arms for my family. I'm a person who believes in purpose, and everything that I do, I do it to the best of my ability to fulfill that purpose. Especially if it has to do with my life as a whole. As significant as the meaning of the symbols may be in my coat of arms, I feel that it still misses some authenticity or that something, just isn't right. Would you care to take a look?

@marijeangalloway1560

Your subject is very interesting, but you are talking much too fast and your words are running together and becoming garbled. Slow down and enunciate your words clearly so your audience can comprehend what you are saying. This is especially important with a topic such as heraldry that features a lot of terminology that is new to many people (such as myself).

Hey! I'm glad i found your channel! Nice video!! I am brazilian and, after our independence, some nobles started to create their own heraldry (because Brazil became an empire, ruled by the Braganças). We have even a large book about brazilian heraldry, and i just discovered that recently! Some are quite original, not exactly related to the portuguese families. It's interesting how something with such a practical meaning evolved to something so artistic! This portuguese book is quite interesting btw: pt.wikipedia.org/wiki/Livro_do_Armeiro-Mor
