A few of you have noticed in the background of some of my other videos a Honda CT90 gathering dust. Well, let's talk about it. Tell you what I've done to it, how it currently sits, and what my future plans and hopes for it are.

Love that front fender , Makes the bike look more off roadish If that's a word. Also think white makes the bike clean looking, don't see many ct-90 in white. I am going to take some of your ideas and use them on my next build. Great job.

Hey. Great video. Thanks for going into all the details. I’m working on a similar project with a Pirahna 140 and a 71 ct90 bike. I’m curious what throttle you used and how you set it up. Thanks again for all the vids.

Hey Tommy, my bars were the right size to go to a 7/8" universal throttle: amzn.to/45Uf87K . When I was doing the build originally I wasn't sure it'd all work out so I went for the cheapest throttle and grip set I could find haha. I didn't the internal throttle cable/slide in the process and in reality it's much smoother pull and returns shut much easier than the CT90 style throttle.

Great video sir. I've been following your whole Grom build and have been inspired to kind of follow in the same footsteps (cause I actually like the beak on the front since it gives a more adventure bike vibe). What other plans do you have for your Grom as the most recent video I saw with the molle bags. My wife got me some saddlebags for the Grom and I had to ditch them after a month cause the tire put a hole in them. Got some smaller but waterproof and lockable storage from Walmart tonight so I'll see if I can install them once my mounting hardware comes in. Looking forward to the progress!

Thanks for watching and glad I could help inspire you a bit! Up next on the grom is a fly screen or rally screen (have some Thai parts for that in actually), then fixing the floppy clutch feel with stiffer springs and 6 bolt basket and pressure plate, then it's a little up in the air. I want to swap levers, then do some aux lighting maybe. Good luck on your build and fitting the new cases!

@@SpencerDesmarais Mahalos for the reply! I've got a whole laundry list of things that I'm wanting to do to my Grom but that also includes a new helmet and even a center stand. Looking forward to see what comes next!

What forks and triple clamp is that?? Was it hard to swap?

Forks and triple came from a 1975 CB125. There's a long list of Honda bikes with the same head stem dimensions that can be swapped. the CB125 was a nice and easy swap, though, and I got just a little bit of a longer length to match the longer suspension out back. I used that plus a CB100 front brake hub and smashed it all together to make it work! Same size as stock bearings on everything, I think I just had to play with some of the spacing and nuts on the very top triple stem nut to make sure I could get the right tension on the whole assembly.
