Oh yay!! Im happy you are beginning your journey! =D and well, a lot of things can technically be used for self defense. Let me put it this way.... CAN it be used for self-defense? Yes... WOULD I pick it over a something like a big ole' knife or a gun? A harrrd no. =P IF you do decide to you it for self defense, word of advice. Do not tether the dart to yourself. 😅
