Awesome card, Kelly, and thank you for passing on Megan's heat embossing tips! Another tip that I've found very helpful when heat embossing is to use a craft pick. If there are specks of embossing powder that are too close to your stamped area to get to with a paintbrush, just remove them by lightly "brushing" them with the tip of your craft pick--before melting them, of course. And yes, I am that persnickety to do that! LOL Just be careful not to scrape at the paper too hard, so you don't leave marks. I often find that the grains will even stick to my pick (how's that for a rhyme?), so I just have to touch the tip to the powder granule, pick it up, and flick/rub it off the tip with my finger--away from the paper. Works like a charm! Thanks so much for sharing your creation, and have a wonderful day! :)
That is a great tip Kelly, about using the sun ray as a lighthouse beam! I am beaming with your ingenuity! The lighthouse is ANOTHER one of my favorites in this release! So many great sets that y'all are releasing tomorrow! Really enjoyed this video too and thanks also for the tip on the powder for making the slide portion work that much smoother!
So excited about the new release, we’re going on a cruise for vacation the end of this month and these slider dies and boats will be perfect to make several thank you cards for our stewards and other staff members!
Oh wow, wow, WOW! I adore the waves and the wavy slider... I can't wait to order these dies and stamps! Yeah! Thanks Lawn Fawn! Love your company and creativity!
some great tips about heat embossing. I was really having trouble getting clear impressions all the way around. Can't wait to try your tips! Thank you so much!
Is there such thing as glow in the dark cardstock? Just imagine that starry background over glow in the dark paper or paper covered in glow in the dark embossing powder. That would look so amazing! I love your products and can't get enough of your videos. So much inspiration.
Great idea! I'm not sure about glow in the dark cardstock, but I do know that they make glow in the dark embossing powder. You could cover your cardstock with the embossing powder and heat set it. Would give the same effect! 🤩
Here's a link to our Glow in the Dark embossing powder, it looks great in night sky designs! www.lawnfawn.com/products/glow-in-the-dark-embossing-powder Using glitter cardstock behind the backdrop die cut also looks great as it catches the light! Thank you so much, so happy you are inspired by our videos :)
Would you tell me that you do make mistakes sometimes? Give me some hope😘. I just love this card. I love everything with oceans in them. The background is beautiful
Hi Pamela, we all make mistakes all the time! Sometimes we leave them in the videos. Mistakes often lead to some wonderful results! Thank you so much! :)
The video was awesome. Love, love, love. One request... Could you gift me all the supplies you used for this card. It is sooo cute, but no way I can afford to buy the supplies. I know it's a strange request, but, thought I'd ask. The worst you can say is "no".😊
