I followed the build thread on this so it’s really nice to see it on video. Great job! I have spent the last two years dialing in a Mercedes M62/Kia BP on my 95. Nice to see a top-notch BP build.
Used to rip a new white 5spd V6 my late brother from another mother had in HS. Best Hot Hatches ever bro nice fleet looks great. I like the 1.8 V6s they were great motors
Mr.16 me and my friends love everything you do in your videos we own Mazda mx3 here in Dallas,TX and we r constantly looking out for what u put out there for us thank you u r awesome n I hope we can get in touch with you sometime in the future cause you r the man thank you for everything!
Love this man. I’ve had about 6. Currently have a v6, 96 GS. Canadian version. Did a 5speed swap on it. Have a fully rebuilt 2.5 to go into it… trying to decide if I want to turbo or supercharge it. Have built a few of these. They’re so amazing to drive. They’re one of those hidden classic Japanese gems
Thanks man, i definitely love the mx-3 and mazda BG platform. I'd like to eventually grab a v6 one and do a klze swap, i've never owned a v6 mx3. Thanks for watching!
Wow! The level of detailing on this project is immense! This is the cleanest project I have ever seen!!! Absolutely incredible....are you a JDM specialist?
If you want to stick with what's tried and proven, 1.8 BPT if you have a 4cyl or 2.5 klze if you have a 6cyl. However, these engines are aging, hard to find and transmissions are a weak point. I am converting my cars to the Mazda/Ford MZR motors. I will explain and document in a separate video before the end of the year. Hope this helps man 🤙
I got to give it to you, you are humble and educated i love everything about this channel bout to buy a 1.8 v6 what do you think? I will do the best i can on making it great. But the timing belt is broken is that a red alert?
Hey, he can get a swap/front clip from a 90-94 BG 323 GTX or GTR on ebay. Direct plug n play swap to a 1.8 BPT with a small vj20 turbo, wiring harness, and ecu (bp26 ecu i think?) You can also use a miata 1.8 BP, non-turbo and do a turbo kit, but it will require a aftermarket ECU. Hope this helps, let me know!
Beauty car brother! About to aquire one of these cars and looking for a good source for information. Especially when it comes to parts from other cars that might work like miatas. Any recommendations? Certain forum.or something Cheers
Thanks man, hope all is well with your mx3! Yes there are alot of interchangeable parts within the mazda/ford chassis. I would suggest clubprotege.com | mx-3.com | mx-3.com facebook group. Hope this helps, let me know!
Hi. What's the under chassis like? What do you do for protection against rust? I have a 98 myself and am glad I found your page man. Hope to see more videos.
I sprayed the under side and fender wells with undercoating spray awhile ago after paint, so its still mint.. It's a Florida car, so the warm, humid climate preserves cars for the most part if you keep it out of the grass. Thanks for your support man, more videos out soon 🙏🤙
I haven’t seen much from you lately. Somehow my subscription to your channel ceased. I looked through your videos and think I’d seen them all. How are your cars/your work on them/improvements? I’m hoping to find a 2.5 litre, Mx6 engine for my Eunos 30x. It’s a great combo! I owned such a car but it was written off by a taxi in a rear ender. The engine was not worth retaining because it was using a lot of oil. Hope to see a new video from you.
Hey thanks for your support. I have 2-3 new videos this upcoming week! I've been working alot lately, but I will continue to record/upload as much and consistently as possible. Im getting ready to repair the turbo mx3 engine and doing minor aero upgrades on the white mx3. Good luck on your 2.5 klze/klde swap! I've been looking at ford probes lately 🤔
Thanks man🙏. Ksports are solid, very happy with them all around. I would recommend ksport or d2, or BC racing (for a 323 gtr) if you want something more serious
Yes, pretty much a direct swap. All you need is engine, wiring harness, and ecu. Transmission is recommended, but you can use your stock trans with matching flywheel/clutch. Hope this helps, let me know!
It really depends. I think the KLZE swap or any all motor swap is more reliable if you drive the car often. However, the turbo driving experience is unmatched - the sounds, the power...it's just cool AF. Do it if you really want to, you only live once!
Hello I hope you see this I want to text you about these cars I have the same car and I don't know where to start to Build it I hope you can help me out and give me advice
I know man, my bad, it didn't run at the time of the video. I have some sound clips of it running in the Mazda mx3 history video on my channel. Hopefully soon with the new rebuilt engine, i'll get more videos/clips. Thanks for watching!
