In terms of camera gear I think they never left actually. As for the company per se, yes, you are correct. These last couple of years have been amazing for Sony.
@@rafapiloto195 $3,500 is cheap for a mirrorless camera that offers 10-bit, 4K @ 60 fps and with video auto tracking. Go buy a canon C200 and tell me the difference you dummy
Sony has to be commended for actually listening to their customers. People wanted a flippy screen, people wanted a new sensor, people wanted a touch screen, people wanted a new menu, people wanted greater low light, people wanted better IBIS etc.....and Sony listened and did as asked. There are not many big tech companies that do this.....
SONY has been really killing it with their products lately IMHO. From their Bravia TVs, to their ANC headphones/earbuds, to the PS5, to the Xperia 1 mark ii, to their Blu tooth speakers, and of course to their Alpha cameras :) Definitely looks like integrating all of their electronics divisions into one unit..... ensuring collaboration between them, and sharing of tech has paid off.
Absolutely, I'm not a brand fanboy by any means, but I am really happy with their impact on the industry. The other one I'm impressed with lately is the household stuff from Samsung.
Can someone please tell that if RAW video output is available on 4k 120fps only? Or it’s available on all other resolutions also. (Using external recorder)
Wow. Thanks Sony! Another beast but have to say that as a hybrid photo/video shooter, the a7iii is more than enough for my kind of work so until I get more funds, I won't be able to get my hands on this. But what a killer of a camera!
@@silvanofalivena9642 I think it's you that dont understand what you need. Please if you wanted 8k and high megapixel, go buy the galaxy note 20 or something because in your mind bigger specs are better right? The sony is punching and comparing with the c300 and fx9, the r5 in terms of video is not touching the sony thanks to the overheating, worse lowlight, dynamic range and quality
This is a great camera and has met most of my expectations. Great job on listening to your customers. If you're listening to this Sony, please add this feature in your future cameras. I've been asking for this for a really really long time but has never been addressed is to be able to let us choose been aspect ratios for video from open gate, 1:1, 4:3, 3:2, 16:9, 2:41:1, 2:76:1, etc.. On top of that, add an Anamorphic Mode (de-squeezed) from 1.33x, 1.5x, 1.8x, 2x, etc. Anamorphic shooters would really really LOVE this. :)
I was a bit nervous it would let me down but I'm glad I held off on the R5, for my needs I can't afford to have my camera overheat half way through a video shoot. Hats off to you Sony on this phenomenal camera.
Sony actually listened to us! However, Sony New Zealand charges NZ$7,000 for it! And, the things that hike up the price are the Type C ports, these new card thingy slots no one uses, and it only has 12MP sensor. But it does have so many improvements and in Mid 2020, Sony FINALLY puts touch screen functionality in their camera! Late compared with Canon, but I can no breath :)
An Amazing camera for videography . What I noticed is the resolution is only 12MP , does it affect photography ?? I know resolution is not the only thing which relates quality but I don't understand why they opted lower resolution ?!
@@louisstudios5656 yea your correct, but I guess that's why that camera wouldn't be considered for professional use as much. It just depends on the consumers need. Personally, it being cheaper doesn't attract me as I can't have my camera failing on me during a shoot.
Love the Flip out screen and Touche menu! ... Hopefully they'll bring this to older models with firmware update.😍 . . . . . . . . . Highly unlikely but staying hopeful 😊
@@FalconTheFries older model have touch screen built it. Works well with touch focus. Its possible to enable touch menus with firmware update.(If sony wants)
As a lifelong Canon user with an R5 preorder I am happy for my Sony colleagues. This is a wonderful camera, probably the benchmark for portable video production and a great backup for stills.
BEFORE YOU BUY: 1. I want to remind you that 90% of reviews that are online right now are 100% SPONSORED! 2. Please DON'T EVER WORK WITH 24FPS or you're WAISTING the incredible RESOURCES provided by this camera! Here is a video explaining why: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-pjMtux_zFU4.html
Hello Sony Team - My sony a7siii is not powering on. The red light in the corner keeps on blinking. Please suggest how to fix the issue. I’m really stressed. Need your urgent help here pls.
i'd love that you update the firmware in all cameras with the new menu and enable touch menu options, i never understood why that wasn't enabled having touch focus options
Hello sony i wanna ask , why can't i connect my smartphone with a7s3, have you experienced it? Previously it could, but suddenly it can't, is there a solution? oh yes my firmware is still 1.0 I haven't updated
With those features, Sony really makes this camera to be a video-shooting workhorse. Good job! Imma settle with my current A7sii at the meantime tho :p
From....A Sony customer........ Is it possible with a mirrorless Sony camera to record the time lapse by holding the camera facing the sun from 10 am to 2 pm?..
