I like the chunky record start/stop button, and all the lights leave no doubt that you're recording which is reassuring. Look forward to seeing what SmallRig comes up with since a lot of shooters like myself like to have a chunky wood hand grip on the left side for handheld shooting. I hope that zoom rocker is smooth as butter to include a crash zoom on the extremes when you need to frame up something quick. Hopefully camera bootup is quick to capture those spontaneous moments that are happening NOW and need to be captured soonest!
That would be great. I don't do video, so a more photography-specific model would be my preference. Sony tho, seems determined to load as many "features" as possible into each camera. I know they have the basic A7 (all-around), A7S (video centric) and A7R (highest resolution) but I think they could do more. My a7R ii has way more video features than I'll ever use.

I purchased your FX3 Cemra and saw your firmware version 2.0 Later I downloaded the 3.0 firmware from your website I reinstalled my FX3 Camera After installation I see the camera audio Body Audio microphone ,Body Audio 3.5mm pot & Body 3.5mm Headphones is not working Please find a solution for this. im From Bangladesh.
I just rented an FX3 this afternoon, and I’ve been up past midnight trying to manually set the aperture, the ISO and the white balance. Are there certain steps I need to take before it will let me set them to my specifications?
I am glad you are enjoying yourself promoting this camera, however I am going to let your audience know how angry a growing number of current customers feel about this FX line: For many years the Sony A7S (sensitivity) line was the camera for VIDEO centric shooters wile the A7R (resolution) is aimed at photographers and the A7 line caters towards hybrid shooters. The A7SII needed a successor badly and finally after 5 years the A7SIII was released in 2020 and myself as well as many other filmmakers bought this camera. However,just 4 months later out of nowhere you guys released the FX3 also for video shooters with the exact same sensor and exact sama processor and just because this camera falls under the FX line you guys have been treating the FX3 as the "true" camera for video shooters and releasing firmware updates to give it many additional software features while completely abandoning all the people who bought the A7SIII. In 2.5 years you guys released exactly ONE additional feature for the A7SIII in the form of the S-Cinetone profile and literally nothing else besides "stability" updates. This is a camera that costs $3500. The many customers who wanted a video centric camera and already purchased the A7SIII now have to decide to either sell their superfluous cameras at a big loss just to get Sony's "true" consumer video camera for the same (body) price or continue to watch their A7SIIIs become more and more obsolete. I know you are focused on cranking out new bodies so I am not going to waste my time waiting on you treating your A7S customers right. I just hope your potential customers read this message to let them know about your record of customer abandonment.
No no no! You misunderstand! It’s a cheaper entry point into the Cinema according to Sony... hey stop looking at the A7SIII price and look over here! Wow the FX6 is expensive right? So look at this wonderfully cheap FX3!
Best "pocket" camera ever made. Looking forward to the next gen. Larger LCD, Better build top handle, in built-nd, no rolling shutter .. would be amazing. Don't care about 6k or 8k.

Does the AF Transition Slow (1) work at high frame rates as well such as at 120fps or 240fps when conformed to slow motion? Do we see the jittery stepping of the motor?

Please include internal ND filter and the top handle is a little wonky, if you guys can figure out a way to put XLR in the body itself, that would be great. Plus, we would all appreciate the A7RV screen. Just my 2 cents.
recently purchased this cam and love it! my only complaint is the filmsy build of the XLR handle. i dropped the camera inside of my car (while sitting down), and the XLR handle snapped at the connection point. I haven't gotten a replacement yet, sadly, so my audio is mediocre. But otherwise, LOVE it.
when did the A7SIII come out... like 3 mths ago. Kinda a weird move but guess they couldnt wait too long before matching the C70. niche/style's market share. I'd be pissed if I had any of the Venice/FX10/FX6 and had just bought a A7SIII.

The XLR's and the S-cinetone are indeed essential to be a cinema version of the A7SIII. But I think you should include DCI 4K too, to make it a real cinema tool and to distinguish it even more from the A7SIII. Already happy with the S-cinetone and the XLR's, but please think about the DCI 4K in a firmware update...
If it had internal variable optical ND filters in a such a small size it would be an impressive achievement by Sony because Internal ND filters is a distinctive aspect of digital cinema cameras. FX3 is an a7S III without viewfinder which isn't so important for most videographers, in a more convenient body. If I had bought a Sony a7S III recently I would be very unhappy because the a7S series was more popular for video shooting and the FX3 is built for exactly that.
can someone pleas help me? not sure if i inadvertently changed a setting was always able to plug my fx3 to my mac and upload footage. can someone walk me thru how to correct this without a reset? ran out of space and had to use a tough card so i don't have any other means to retrieve the footage.
Really nice video (and great without any voice-over) and the video looks stunning. Love also the articulating viewfinder and the tiny portable form factor which looks like it would be perfect for travelling (when we can again!) Love to use this on future work :-) .....are you into any collaborations?
I'm wondering if this camera will ever get Focus Breathing Compensation like the A7IV and FX6 now have, considering that it would make all of the GM lenses an obvious choice with the FX3.
I love this camera ♥️♥️, please add shutter angle + A7IV features on next firmware update, like A7SIII got an FX3 (S-Cinetone) update as 2.0. It'll make FX3 a step above A7SIII.
The auto focus technology is what intrigues me, especially for gimbal work. Having the focus motor n wheel control is great, BUT what i hate is calibrating the lens AGAIN if i change lenses, so lets see how this performs on auto mode eh!
