I love how you can tell from the beginning which one plays Elsa and which one plays Anna; even before they said which one they played you could just tell by their personalities. ~:~
They are both amazing in these roles!!! I was blown away by this show and cast while they were in Denver for the pre broadway engagement. This show is a treat and a must see show.
Celenithil So what did you think of the show? Was it good? Because I just looked at some reviews on google and most of them were negative. What’s your opinion about this show. Frozen is one of my absolute favorite disney films of all time, and when I found out it was going to broadway, I freaked out so bad! I was just so excited! I wanna see this so bad, but I need to know other people’s opinions about it.
I really like that they changed the costumes instead of trying to make them exactly like the movie. You can't make good looking clothes exactly like an animation
I never saw either of those shows but I want to. I meant by age difference as in like how old the actors are and how they are different from the characters they are playing. Elsa is supposed to be 21 and that explains why she's being crowned queen so soon without her parents and a chosen groom to be her king & Anna is 18.
I know but particularly by their words. And I'm liking Cassie's gesture she makes with her hands and facially when she as Elsa tries to walk away from Anna. It's infectious and deeply expresses Elsa's fears and other unpleasant emotions.
Hannah, yeah it is great. Or at least what i heard. In denver university all people were talking about it, and every one was only saying positive things about that. :) Its awesome that Jennifer lee was helping making the script/lore so you know it wont break the canon. Even though they changed the trolls.
Kiko Li Seems pretty surreal that he played two princes in one year. If that happens, it would be like when Jonathan Freeman when he played Jafar in Aladdin in film and on Broadway
Am I the only one who thinks it's really cool that it appears the first actor for Kristoff is going to be black? I love when they cast towards best fit overall, not just adherence to previous looks of a character.
Pugmeister 101 I want to see Anastasia. I don't like the movie as much as Frozen. But I won't mind a 90's throwback with a slightly historically accurate twist.
Bia Alencar I agree although I'm not seeing her overprotective she is when it comes to the story. That's one thing I need to understand in order to figure out if she's putting enough effort into the book.
Cj Hudson HSM got me into theatre as a teenager and I used to love it. Brother Bear isn't a favorite but it's a story the world needs now more than ever. Not just about family but about savagery vs love and growing up as well.
Cj Hudson P+F I wouldn't see Emperor's new Groove maybe as long as the new material serves the original work well. Not just music but as well as comedy
That if you confess with your mouth, "," and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For it is with your heart that you believe and are justified, and it is with your mouth that you confess and are saved
With this and spongebob the musical, the Tonys this year will be a Disney vs Nickelodeon throw down! (I’m not saying I don’t like the shows- personally I love the spongebob musical, and I’m willing to give this one a try 😊)
Jeremy Is Heere I'm not into Spongebob like I used to be as a kid. But if this were the 2000's all over again, I would be even more excited for Spongebob than this show.
Rebecca Richardson, simple answer is that older actors have more experience and can handle the rigors of nightly shows better because they have built up stamina from training in the theatre 🎭
I must admit that as excited as I was by the prospect of this show, I was a bit disappointed in the casting of the two main characters for the exact reason that they're so much older than Anna and Elsa :(
ThatAussieGirl look it was a good movie don’t get wrong. But, they shoving it down our throats! Disney: like frozen? HERE’S A STAGE MUSICAL! Sick of it yet? no? SEQUELS! Still not bored? HERE’S ALL SORTS OF MERCHANDISE you see what i’m trying say? They are forcing up to much of a brilliant piece of art so the hate out ways the love
+NATESEALS 193 there's a lot less merchandise now than there was when it came out in 2013. at least it's not on the minions' level! plus, the movie translates really well to the stage and disney hasn't made a new musical in a while.
NATESEALS 193 main channel I agree Frozen was a good movie but it's going to take a while for me to get back in the craze. It was overwhelming but it doesn't mean I 100% hate it. I liked it but not enough to get addicted like some people. Enough ranting out of me already
why haters act like Frozen is the first Disney blockbuster that gain the lot of tie-in? or that the Disney is the only company that make this? Disney makes this since The Little Mermaid. Do you guys forgettied of the direct-to-video sequels? of the tv series? of the others broadways shows? There is nothing new on Disney expand the Frozen franchise, would be stranger if Disney don't did this. Also, this whole bashing with Frozen has much to do with the female rivality, major of the haters are big fan of another princess movies and don't like of Frozen be the more popular of the genre... Nobody hate The Lion King or Zootopia that are also popular but hates Frozen because thinks that another princess movie is the "best that deserve attention" and don't realize that are reproduzing female rivality.
Elsa is supposed to be 21 and Anna is supposed to be 18... I'm sure these women are talented but come on, it's Anastasia all over again. Miscast and the new songs just don't fit.
