an El Camino is a car, not a truck. Its a G-Body, same chassis as Malibu, Monte Carlo, Regal, Cutlass, Bonneville, and Le Mans

@@AdhdJimmy Well, how fast do you really think you need to go in a circle track they have? They've already demonstrated handling can be a large part of that race. And there are multiple engine choices. For something arguably slow like that kind of race the weight to power ratio needs to be considered.

this unit has run 9.6 in the 1/4 , rest assured the dyno pull results will be in the 900 RWHP range and I'd say i am not far off, My buddy and his dad build race engines for people/teams and have their own car that has run 9.03 and is right around 1060 RWHP, who really cares this truck is just plain cool what's not to love 👍

No this was owned by a guy named Daniel out of Charleston SC, Its Lund tuned and Daniel and his father did the work

not enough demand or profit. The Big 3 used to make spicy versions a decade or longer ago.

Ford did the supercharged lightings which would be about as close to this as a factory truck would be. Anymore there isn’t enough demand for them to put the money and effort into it. Especially when they can do the “offroad” packages and get more money for them.
