Introducing Prequel's NEW Hypochlorous Acid Spray, Universal Skin Solution | Dr. Sam Ellis 

I'd love a refill option for some of Prequel's products that reduces the need for excess packaging!

Dr. Ellis, it would be great if you also formulate a probiotic skincare product to go with the hypochlorous acid spray. For example, we could use the hypochlorous acid first, and then use the probiotic skincare product to get that good bacteria back in there. In order to have healthy skin, we really need to support the skin’s microbiome. This is especially important for skincare conditions like rosacea. So, I really hope Prequel will offer a probiotic skincare product that is made for sensitive skin. I really need to find some skincare products that are truly formulated for sensitive skin, because my skin is very sensitive, and it’s difficult for me to find any skincare products that my skin will accept. Even common ingredients like hyaluronic acid have been very harmful to my skin. For example, every time I’d use any product with hyaluronic acid in it, my skin would become very dry & tight, and I’d get fine lines all over my face (including my eyelids, which was very scary). It’s really frustrating because brands add hyaluronic acid to nearly everything, even on products that are made for sensitive skin. I haven’t been able to find any moisturizer that my skin likes either. I also tried wearing sunscreen (LaRoche Posay Mineral Sunscreen), but it broke me out badly, which I assume is because my cleanser (Vanicream Gentle Facial Cleanser) was not removing all of the sunscreen. On top of that, my skin was becoming dry from using this cleanser multiple times in a row to try to get off the sunscreen. However, even if I just don’t use sunscreen, and only use the cleanser once a day to wash my face, I noticed that it was still making my skin feel a little bit dry & tight (which is especially problematic, since I don’t have any moisturizer that I can apply afterwards to deal with the dryness that the cleanser was causing). So, I’ve had no choice but to only wash my face with water and use the cleanser once every couple of day at most (hence it is why I’m considering the hypochlorous acid). Since my skin is so sensitive, and will not accept most skincare products I try, it’s hard to find any products that work. I want to try a few of Prequel’s products, so I really hope my skin will accept them without reacting.

Does HA kill the "good" bacteria on the skin? If so, would daily use of HA disrupt are natural and beneficial skin microbiome?

This spray is amazing. One of my Prequel favorites!

I’m so excited for this! I just bought your other three products. My dermatologist just prescribed me Tretinoin 0.025%, my first retinol ever. I was on a high dose of Accutane (isotretinoin) 3 years ago, and my skin handled it well. I’m interested to how Prequel works to soothe and hydrate my skin while on this new chemical exfolient.

Hypochlorous acid helped my dry eyes immensely. My red eyes cleared up and stopped hurting and itching. I still use it to clean my eyebrows, eye area and lashes. Learning about it was life changing for me.

Great product! I'll be buying the Skin Solution and also the Gleanser. I wish I could buy the other products but since I'm allergic to Niacianimide and I'm so regular acne and fungal acne prone, I'm afraid to buy them and cause a flare. I wanted to ask if you could create products for people with these conditions.

Oh, I hope it gets available in the UK soon 😊 I have been on the hunt for a Hyploclorous Acid Spray, but have not liked the couple that I tried. One the spray was quite bad and the other had some plant compounds and fragance that reeeeally irritated my skin. So I kind gave up after that 😢

What’s the difference between this and other hypochlorous acid sprays?

This is a totally new ingredient to me! Just purchased and am excited to give it a go. I'm wondering how you might recommend using this spray in tandem with microneedling? It seems to me like an ingenious addition to a double-cleanse in order to prep before microneedling. I'm curious to know your thoughts about using it afterwards during the healing process as well. I imagine there would be similar use and placement in skincare routine for any skin treatment: deep chemical peels, microneedling, laser, etc.

Please make travel sizes of these products. I love the quantity you get for your money but the thought of traveling with these products or having to decant into tsa approved sizes means I will reach for other’s products instead.
