Dropping my name in the hat right now for a Nutter build, it will match my 80 TX and 80 TXC. Also I’ll be at Princeton again this year right after a little fishing in Deer River on Moose Lake.
I loved a sweet little thing in my neighborhood growing up her dad let her race me on his 80 txl 340 and it was quick. clutched and pipe with her on it ran 9200 rpm @92 mph my 1980 tx 440 had no chance with me on it on top end but on holeshots on hard pack the grouser bar track was better so in 660 i would beat her in 800 1000 she would run me down....lol i miss that sweet little thing .....CB + HB TLA.....LOL
This should be right up your alley Nutter! I know you’ve already got a couple of TXL’s and they are great! I have 2 myself 👍. Maybe you could turn one of these into a Centurion?🤷🏻♂️ You need one of those for your herd lol Looking forward to following the project!! Keep up the great vids! 🍻
Hello and thank yu for your videos as I always watch and thumbs up, am happy to see the 1980 TXL 340 project and if your selling once finished I'd be interested, so keep it all going and looking forward to next season with you and the boys.
When the lever is flipped the choke plungers go up. With the lever not flipped (plungers all the way out, choke is off) they should just touch the bottom of the choke well before the threads start. So when they are adjusted right you will need to compress the spring just a tiny bit to start the threads.
Nutter, misery loves company. I committed myself to the same insane asylum with a project rehab. '82 JD Trailfire only 136 orig miles left rotting on an open trailer it's entire life. A sad death I will try to resurrect. I just bought my 1st T-shirt, a big fan of your show!
Thanks! I used to ride an '81 Trailfire years ago. They are solid sleds. If yours still has the cleated track start looking for a rubber track donor sled at the swaps!
Did you ever get it back to running because I used to own same sled I bought it brand new back in 1980 I loved it till my so called friend stole it and ran it into the ground.
