Im returning my arlo pro that i just purchase. This new model has the two features that i want in the camera. 1. The option to create zones for motion detection 2. Video in 1080p.
I like the idea, but I would also like to see a motion sensor that you can use to activate several cameras once it's tripped. I may not necessarily want a light to turn on. I have a spot where I can't really place a camera, but I never get motion until after the person has passed. I will get the light as well, but I would have more use for just a motion sensor we can integrate.
Why don't you fix the problems on all the previous camera models before just releasing a new camera or system, it's a little unfair that your customers are your test subjects!
Always had issues with the first Arlo wireless camera with motion detection, it always just catches the person out of frame, its great when it is in a area that a person walks and then stops (such as your front door) but anywhere else (such as my front gates, most people will just walk into it and then up to our front door) its hard identify a person. I ended up just replacing the arlo at the front door with a arlo q, its under cover enough for the weather not to bother it.
Add Google Home and Chromecast integration and you will have my money. (Does plugging it in allow 24/7 in-home recording with drive hooked up to base station?)
I know man same here, i bought the Arlo pro earlier this year and now they come out with this one... fml.. and i need the 1080P cuz 720P just dont cut it no more
The 1080p is barely noticeable more like 900p and not worth 50 bucks extra per camera and all the new features are locked to wired mode which forces you to wonder why you bought a now expensive product that is the same
