The Honda CRZ project begins with a cheap starting point of $2400! Bought at a police auction, my goal is to make this hybrid into something “cool” and more exciting. But, is this something I can pull off?
The Honda CRZ was supposed to be a spiritual successor to the famous Honda CRX that dominated the early 90’s. But like many other disappointments, the CRZ was born as a hybrid. Buying this car I really didn’t have a plan in mind, but I knew I could work my magic to modify this thing to my liking. For $2400 I knew I could clean it up, add some mods, and make it something worthy of a clean daily driver. The story of this car is pretty good, but I’ll save that for a future video. In today's video, I give you a walkaround of the CRZ as well as a first impressions review. Honestly, I'm digging it!
So what’s in store for this 2011 Honda CVT CRZ? My car builds begin with getting things to a clean starting point and going from there. I want to show you guys that you can make something clean and respectable (even with an automatic transmission and hybrid badge lol). Keeping budget in mind, I plan to restore much of this myself with the exception of a few larger jobs. This is no replacement for my 99 Civic, but think of it as a clean daily for my daily.
