You don't need knowledge to build a better future.. you just need a good heart...and that Google lacks.

Knowledge Graph / Semantic Web its all starting to move forward in a big way. Google is leading the way and creating a search engine for people instead of a search engine for websites

This was great, and I love that I can do a search without even leaving my Google Documents. I was writing a essay for school on Tim Burton today, I went to tools, and research, and it told me all about him, and gave me useful and recent links to articles about him. This, I know will be very useful, and I'm sure within time, Google will build up even more knowledge for this. This, could possibly revolutionize search as we know it today.

Wonderful! Most of our time is spent searching for something. It maybe our car-keys, our long-lost friends or relatives, some treasure, some solution to a problem or puzzle, some answers to Life's questions, directions, God or whatever you call it, etc. Google has captured the nerve center of our quest and constant search for that elusive... Thank you Google and All the Best to you Guys in bringing to us Humans the answer to our Existence! From Search to Eternity.

I don't get how you can think that a world full of cars driving themselves perfectly, video conferencing on the go through your glasses and having your computer wherever you are in the world, in less than 8 seconds of turning it on, without physically bringing it, is less smooth than a world of people constantly looking down at their phone marvelling at how quickly their apps open.

I don't know about you guys but, Shashi got me more hyped up than any of the other interviewees, this really does look sick, it might not be for a typical user, but students, teachers, basically anyone who does research, will find this tool revolutionary, google is like a huge psychologist, studying us, to make new products for us...or sell our info..

able to watch how those connections and relationships and by extension structures change over time would go a long way toward helping the scholar to understand the present and potential future. As new discoveries of the past were added to the web one could see the entire structure shift and compensate and refine itself. It would be a beautiful thing.

I think they missed some points here. If someone searches for Leonardo DaVinci does not meen they want information about other renaissance artists. They might like to know more about his works and inventions he did.

It is not just some sort of wikipedia..and it is not as simple as data mining things(like those amazon suggest)...it's how they corelate all of these knowledges/contents/web model after the real world objects corelativity. And all these implemented into their search engine...to provide us with better result..within scope, and more intelligent..

The longer Google keeps the searcher on its site, the more money it can make. Knowledge comes secondary... and isn't it curious that the only metric Facebook is currently trashing Google at is "time spent on site". These Google guys are smart...

So this is the Web 3.0, Google style! but everyone searches for different things so providing users with useful information is almost imposable. And then there is the question of how Google is relay going to tackle this challenge programmatically, without hiring people to build the Knowledge Graph piece by piece. None the less a very interesting proposition.

Would like to see an additional filter for search results that would only show accredited sites ... that way when you are writing a business case or school paper, you don't have to sift through all the blogs and non worthy sources!

Wikipedia has more information and gives you more detail than google's knowledge graph. Google's knowledge graph is different. It is trying to create something new; a new type of search engine that allows a quicker yet easier way to find something that you wouldn't know broadening the search spectrum. Thumbs up for Google!

While Knowledge Graph is one example of the Orwellian direction we're headed in, a NEWS search for "anti racist action" today on Google gives but one result. This after the group's violent attack yesterday on a peaceful luncheon meeting of people who call themselves facists, in a fancy restaurant located in a Chicago suburb, involving baseball bats and 24-lb. hammers with 2-ft. handles used in railroading work. Several of the luncheon victims were hospitalized.

Or going from looking through 5 pages of search results to getting the info instantly. "Establishment approved" is usually rather boring and ignores some of the good stuff provided by the little guys, but it gets the job done for 90%+ of Google's user base.

One better way to think about this is in terms of the FB social graph. Like if you go back to Leonardo as if he had FB and reconstruct his graph then start moving it forward with G+ like ripples. Jeez, we already are starting to get significant dead historic people with social graph data in place if that seems hard to understand. They just have done the favor of setting up on FB or G+ and they are probably still pushing spam ads at them.
