Introducing the Mobile Stairlift: The Last Word on Portable Mobility 

I just unboxed our chair and couldn’t wait to try it. We have 20 stairs to climb straight up with no turns. It was awesome! We all took turns just to get the feel of things. My 90 pound wife took me (200 lbs) right up the stairs without any effort at all. We bought this for my 80 year old Mother who fractured her knee three weeks ago. She coming to stay with us a while until she heals. Great chair and well thought out. Easy to operate. Two thumbs up!

You got to really trust the person taking you up and down the stairs and it's not good for if you have hours alone

If they could incorporate this with a wheelchair (powered chair would be the best), so that if you go to a place like say NYC and the elevator's are not working, your not stuck somewhere. Or if you are in a hotel and the fire alarm goes off, you could actually go down the stairs. Now granted if you are alone, you would need the assistance of possible good symaritins. NYC does have them, but sometimes it's a bit challengeing to find them. To be able to use this with just the person that needs it, would be awesome. Totally independant is what the physically challenged people seek and I pray for to have someday.

Now this design needs to be refined until a person in the chair can operate a stair lift system by themselves. Not everyone has the luxury of having someone there for them.

What would be really awesome is if this lift had regular wheelchair wheels so that the patient could use it for self-transport on level ground or if it had motorized wheels like other handicapped scooters making it a mobility scooter with assisted stairlift capabilities. I would buy this in a heartbeat with that feature.

The lower secondary set of handles for safety spotter or assistant is convenient. Nice! This is well thoughtout.👍

What's the failsafe? If the battery fails or some other failure in the drive system fails while you're halfway down a flight of stairs, what can you do? Hopefully there enough resistance in the gearing that a reasonable strong person can always descend stairs without working power and there should be redundant battery packs where the system does an automatically fallback to the auxiliary power ensuring safe ascent or descent where the main batteries can be recharged or serviced. Without this it's only a matter of time before a tragedy.

Can these be rented? I could use one for my adult daughter that had to have major pelvic surgery reconstruction and cannot walk on it for several months.

What is the physical impact on the operator(s)? How physically difficult or demanding is it to operate the chair with someone in it?

This looks great! How safe is the battery?

I recently bought one of these chairs. While the chair itsilf may be great, the instructions are nonexistant. Took me over an hour to figure out (guess) how to charge the battery. By the way I am an engineer, i recognized the connector type and even with the aid of a flashlight and the blurry not helpful instructions could not locate the port. Finally stumbled upon the trick to removing the battery. it required turning the key (who knew), then discovered the elusive charging port. But then the existential question, how to actually charge the battery. Flipped a few coins and decided that trying the key switch position that showed a red light might be the charging mode I had another glass of wine and went all in. I'm still not sure whether the battery is charging or not. There is a red light glowing but hh ea that simply indicates the batter is turned on, not that it is charging. I suppose I will eventully (by trial and error_ figure out how to use this chair I hope its function makes up for the hopelessly incompetent instructions. Mechanically this looks like a very good design. But thats only half the story. When are product designers going to recognize that "obvious" is way more valuable than "easy". "Easu has zero value if the user doesn't know how to do it.

It is very useful and very nice what is the rate? and where we get it?

As a paralyzed person this device would not help me. I feel that many paralyzed people need customized wheelchairs for safe comfortable mobility. This chair offers none of that. Granted, you don’t have to be in it very long at a time, but you do have to have people with you while using it. So if I go to a college campus by myself in my wheelchair that let’s say I had to go upstairs for a class. That means that someone would have to meet me there with the lift and help me use it. It might be OK in an emergency, if the battery was already fully charged, to get someone out of the building. But even in that scenario the designated people to help would have to be able to remember how to set it up, would not have time to watch the video. Nice try but it needs a lot more development.

I just unboxed this chair which looks identical to the one in video except - - there is no charging port where the video (and the included instructions) indicate. I think they changed the design and never updated the instructions. Can any kind person reading this let me know how to charge the battery on this chair when there is no port (believe me, there is no port, i have spent hours with a bright worklight looking for any port compatible with the charging cable connector. not there. thanks in advance if you can help me out

If it's recommended that two able bodied helpers are what is the preferred option for operating this chair. Why for the vast majority of the video do you film it with only one? Why do you not include this info till half way through and then revert to one able bodied helper again? I'd suggest that for comfort and mental security of the disabled rider that arm rests should be fitted, as otherwise the fear factor will heighten when it comes to going downstairs.

Min 3.0 Suggestion. I suppose it would be much safer to park Wheelchair facing the wall. It can very dangerous to park at the edge with the person facing staircase.Thanks
