The update has only just started to rollout. Sky+HD boxes other than those made by Thomson will be automatically updated over the next few months. Once your updated when you press TVGuide you will be taken to the home page with TVGuide hi lighted. From there you can either press TVGuide again or Select to view the TVGuide. If you want to go back to the currant channel your watching in the TVGuide from live tv just press the BackUp button (sometimes you may need to press it twice).

So when I press 'TV Guide' button on my remote, I won't be taken directly to 'TV Guide' but a homepage instead, and from there I have to select 'TV Guide'. Seems a bit counter intuitive.

So... tvguide is no longer that???? Are you going to send me a new remote, i don't want to be spammed what i can buy or download when i just want the tvguide as you have changed it and i am not happy can i cancel my sub?

I have a wireless 2tb hd box , how will it update? I don't have broadband connected to box. Will it still update ? My box is built in Wi fi.

Hi there Arif, your box will be automatically update without a Broadband Connection however, the great new features and services available via Sky On Demand will only be available if your box is connected to the internet. Hi there Andy, your box will be auto updated however, you can also perform a user update yourself to retrieve the latest software by following the steps here : helpforum.sky.com/t5/Sky-HD-SkyHD-Sky-3D/Updating-the-software-on-your-Sky-HD/ta-p/1239020

So what button do you press to get to this homepage as my sky remotes don't have a homepage button on them and if it's the tv guide button then that makes no sense as the tv guide button should always take you to the tv guide not to some other area.

Our brand new Sky Homepage can be accessed via pressing the TV Guide button on your Sky remote control. The Homepage layout is designed to give you quick access to all of your viewing options from Live TV (TV Guide) to Catch Up and On Demand giving our Customer's greater control of their TV viewing.

So getting to the tvguide is now a multiple button press instead of a simple 1 press of 1 button? Sounds a little silly tbh

Sky So instead of pressing TV Guide and getting a TV Guide, we now get a homepage and have to navigate to the TV Guide and then press to open it. Thanks for making it more long winded.

The great news Miraine, is that the brand new Sky Homepage will be available to all Sky customers (with a compatible Sky+HD box) at absolutely no extra cost.

Why fix something that is not broken? Is there an opt out? Im happy with live tv being front and centre thanks.

Hi there Elliot, all compatible Sky+HD boxes will be updated with our brand new Homepage in the coming months. There is not an opt out for this update however, you can continue to access your Live TV guide via the short links on the new Homepage as well as instant access to programming you may have missed via Sky On Demand / Catch up. You can also discover brand new or returning Series via our New Series applet so that you never miss a thing.
