Is the diesel much more economical compared to the petrol? Do you miss the sound and hp of the petrol or not really noticeable?

@@OmniGarage yes in the SCV8 RR Sport over 20,000km I averaged about 13.5l/100km 98 octane .. a lot of it long trips from Auckland to Hawkes Bay and back. It might get to a litre or so below that driven carefully and on the highway but in town looking at 14-15l/100km driving gently. The SDV8 Vogue nearly at 20,000km is averaging 9.3l/100km same type of driving. The sound was great but in the end I just found the fuel cost was ruining the enjoyment. Very happy with the Vogue its a great cruiser when getting out of town.

Thank you for that info. What made you switch to a vogue other than the gas consumption?

@@OmniGarage Just an opportunity that came up and at the time not so many RRS SDV8 in the model I wanted. I wanted a 2017 model - has the upgraded infotainment screen and Apple CP but not the dual screens. I had replaced the screen in the 2015 RRS with an android unit and it was ok, but stll had to put up with the VGA quality reverse camera. Overall its a bigger truck than the sport and I like the split tail gate good to sit on it with the dog :-)

@TheAdmiral006 fair enough! Those are all good reasons. Range Rover have made a pretty decent infotainment system with maps, calling, music etc via Bluetooth that I find Apple CarPlay rather redundant (and CarPlay is a pain having to plug your phone in all time).
