Thanks for checking out the Wireless ME and RØDE Capture and thanks for your feedback! Just a quick note on RØDE Capture - as well as being able to see and control the audio levels from within the app, you can actually control all of the settings of the Wireless ME (and other RØDE mics), so you don't have to jump out of the app :)
I noticed that only turning on the TX mic with the Rode capture app that I can record a video. Only the sound is better with the RX connected to my phone.
Such as shame it doesn't have onboard recording. That's saved my videos a number of times. I also have the DJI mics but I prefer the WGO2 as it doesn't suffer from walkie talkie radiointerference like the DJI.

DJI Mic still seems to be the better choice. I was a Rode fan for years, but the DJI mic is next level and Rode doesn’t seem to be catching up. Looking forward to your comparison.

The Wireless ME is pretty different to systems like the Wireless GO II and DJI Mic - it’s designed to be a super intuitive and easy to use, so you can just plug it in and it sounds great, with minimal setup required. But it does have a bunch of innovative features that no other mics have, like GainAssist and mics built into the receiver and transmitter for recording in front of and behind the camera at the same time. And it integrates seamlessly with RØDE Capture - the perfect combo for shooting content on a smartphone. We also have some exciting updates to the Wireless GO II coming and heaps of exciting wireless products in the pipeline, so stay tuned for these!
@@rodemic That sounds great, but the DJI Mic's ease of use, ability to make adjustments on the mic in real time, and charging case with accessories are much more appealing to me. Hopefully you can pull it off next time.
Sounds like it still packs fewer features than the DJI Mic. But good to see RODE attempting to catch up. Competition always ends in better products for consumers. :)
Just get the DJI Mic. It's better & more versatile. They have a new single transmitter version now too if you want to save a few bucks and don't need the 2nd. +6DB on both the transmitter & receiver for iPhone sounds great!
Hey, thanks so much for this video, two quick questions pls:1- the receiver is on but the light near the middle at the top of the transmitter is blinking, what's the reason? 2-the TX box on the screen of receiver is red instead of green, what's that?

Hello, if I connect three microphones (2 transmitters and receiver) is there a way that when one person is speaking other microphones are muted? Or this doesn't matter and won't interfere? Thanks.
Thanks so much for the video. I have a Rode VideoMic Go 2. I am wondering if I should just get the wireless instead since the performance is good and it allows the user to be far and yet sound good in a trip. What settings on he camera does you set it in order for it to sound good? Sony ZV E10

Everyone complained about the logo on the original system. They listened, ignored and decided to make it even more obnoxious. Another reason to go DJI.
Hey Gerald. Thanks for the feedback. If you don't want the mic in shot you can simply flip it around so the clip faces outwards. The audio capture will still be exactly the same.
The first time ordered this wireless me an expensive one. I bought tiny wireless ones for 25$ from aliex Wireless Lavalier Microphone. That was ok. I wasted many times my money buying nonsense. Beter buys a good one and doesn't have to buy it again and again.
Thanks for your review of the RODE Me. Still not sure what to get… I don’t want to support anything China (DJI) expensive. Rode arrogant and don’t think they really care much about what customers really want. Bought the 1st Rode wireless and don’t use it as the wind screen falls off all the time. I’ve been ising and pleased with the SONY ECM-W2BT. That is good with a lav… but not available for (2). Keep on chugging guys. BTW… your son growing like a weed! Peace!
I've been curious about Sony mics, but haven't tried any yet. The original Rode Wireless Go did indeed have a loose windscreen, but it (and many other things) was improved a lot on the Go II.
@@Gemini_Connect Yeah I just watched RODE’s announcement after yours and left messages. Yes… instead if fixing… go spend more to buy version II. Every review on their products is ok … but! Just mediocre… not trailblazing leadership. I shoot my Sony A7Siii with the Sony W2BT and Sony Lav: “My Retired Life In Japan”. SONY makes it easy setup. Sound quality very good. Is it perfect no… but so easy to use and great audio even in very windy conditions.
Just my annoying opinion but why would they remove the name Rode on new microphones? This new symbol isn't recognized by people outside of the industry 🤦.
If you’re filming and wearing the transmitter, you’re advertising for Rode in every video that you make. It’s essentially free advertising for the company, which I understand is in their interest, but not necessarily in the interest of consumers. Also, commercial/paid videos often don’t allow logos of brands in videos, so it’s extra work to edit out the logo. The easy way around all of this is to use a wired lav, but one if the biggest advantages of using mics like this is having the mic built into the transmitter for easy usage. I’d just like to see the logo be more subtle or less “in your face”
