That machine brings back memories. Used that thing to put in a bunch of guides.

I called into the technical line to inquire about a good cutter that they would HIGHLY recommend and really didnt get any help. Is there someone that i could talk to that is very knowledgeable about valve seats, cutters and head flow from the cutters?

I’ve personally had better luck with the old carbide inserts over the saber tooth when it comes to insert life, chatter, and finish on the SBI seats we typically use.

Joshua, what alloys' are in those seats or a part number from the seat box will help. have you tried the same part number of new Sabertooth series? what part number cutter are you referencing? thanks, dave

Some seats require a very slow speed 40-60, if you still get chatter at a slow speed try 100-120rpm. I can usually find an rpm that gives me a near polished finish.

I appreciate your video's however they would be so much more helpful if you had another camera actually zeroed in on where you are machining so we could see what is going on. Thanks
