How to: Introduce Your Dog to a New Baby (The NATURAL Way)
Expecting a new baby in the family soon? Well congratulations! Now you may have given some thought as to how you should introduce your dog to your new baby. That's what this video is all about. It's very important that we start the new relationship off in both a healthy and natural way from the very beginning. It's important that you understand what goes on inside your dog's head, so that you can avoid any potential issues that may arise when bringing your newborn baby home to your dog. In this video, Angie explains how to naturally introduce your new baby to your dog. You'll also get to hear some first-hand experience from Angie's daughter, Kendra.

This will be tough to do with my husky. She’s really smart and spoiled, this will hurt her feelings bad. I have to find a way to help her keep distance, without getting upset or jealous of the baby. Lots of treats!

I’ve been looking for good videos for a while now. This is the one that makes the most sense to me by far. Thank you for this!

What do you do if dog is actually avoiding baby at the beginning and becoming anxious. Runs and hides when hears baby crying? Loss of appetite?

Great video! I am a dog trainer and this is exactly what I teach my clients. I have a client who has a new baby and I am too booked to get to them at this time. This is the perfect video to forward to her. Thank you for posting.

Helpful because some people let the dog lick the baby right in the face and lay on the newborn. I have a small dog and she gets very excited around new people and offens jumps on people legs. I hoping to teach her boundarie around the newborn. A little nervous about my in laws hound dog because she like to jump on people.

I need help with this. I’m having my first baby in December. I have 2 dachshunds 2 year old and a 10 year old. My older dog was rescued from an abuse home and is stressed out by kids. How do I ease her in gently without her freaking out. She’s our first dog of the family.

we are expecting our first baby in October. We have 2 shih poos. The older girl will be good I think, but our 3 year old male gets really jealous and barks at people he doesn't know.

I love your rules, I feel I am already moderately strict with my boy. I am more concerned about accidents, but I guess ciders can happen if they are not allowed close to the baby for the first few months. Place command is going to come in real handy 😂

What if you’ve already had a dog for a couple months? When they are already past the hey this my member you need to respect them too? We got our dog after having kids.

Did not like the video at first but once I finished it it makes A LOT of sense! Its not about pushing them away but making sure they understand the boundaries that need to be set regardless.

Thank you SO much for this video! We have 2 very rambunctious Boxers and these tips are helping to ease my anxieties. I don't want to set up my fur babies for faliure by letting them too close too soon. These boundaries and tips were very helpful! Thanks again! :)
