The piece was written for the Ivry Conservatory and premiered in 2018. The prism through which Julien Malaussena composes is "articulated sound energy". His focus is on the direction or lack of direction of each sound entity, and through this, their ability to articulate and relate to one another. On the subject of the work we're about to hear an extract from, the composer writes "these pieces of varying difficulty do not require any particular proficiency, but above all involvement, ease of movement, serious work and a minimum of maturity".
The event was co-organised by The Ivry-sur-Seine Municipal Music School (Ecole de musique et de danse) and MusEA a non profit organisation for amateur chamber music players (Musique, Espaces des Amateurs).
