My mother had this album. Remember hearing her play it all the time when I was a junior in high school. First time I felt like I really liked gospel music. Became a huge fan of the Kingsmen.
Ernie was a wonderful person. Attended Trinity Baptist Church in Asheville NC with him and his family. He will be missed. Please also pray for squire Parsons also. He is very ill.
My dad loved them. He would go to their concerts. To bad he gave away all his albums. I'm going to try to find them on CD. I remember this very well. Everyone liked Ernie. They were a fun group.
@@jhjcjg1 There are five recognized major vocal ranges - bass, baritone, tenor, alto, and soprano. Generally, when there is a baritone vocalist in a group, there is not a bass or tenor. When vocalists sing in four-part harmony, the four parts are bass, tenor, alto, and soprano. The tenor range is just above the bass range. Famous tenors include Pavarotti, Domingo, and Bocelli. Technically, Ernie was a soprano. Not sure why gospel quartets decided to call their highest range singers "tenors"...
