In Episode 1 on Cassava Matters TV today, we look at the importance of cassava to food security and industrial development in Nigeria, factors hampering productivity in Africa and how the technologies and techniques developed by the International Institute of Tropical Agriculture (IITA) are helping farmers deal with these challenges. Dr. Bernard Vanlauwe, IITA Director, Research for Development, Central Africa; Dr Alfred Dixon, IITA Director, Development for Delivery; Prof Friday Ekeleme, Principal Investigator of the IITA Cassava Weed Management Project and Godwin Atser, IITA Digital Extension and Advisory Services Specialist, are on the show today.

I think you have to make plans to visit one of the West African countries, Ghana, Nigeria, Cameroon, Sierra Loan. Citizens of these countries consume a lot Cassava.
