Looking forward to the series....I'm planning on putting on a new roof next year...just a basic gable roof on a 60's ranch...but my main concern is flashing around the chimney. I was not sure if I should leave the existing flashing in place or install new flashing. Hopefully I'll get some good ideas.
Look for the chimney flashing video coming soon! In general, I'd always recommend replacing the flashing. If the old flashing is in good shape and not rusted or full of nail holes, you can possibly leave it if the new work seems challenging.
