Fantastic seeing two artists share their process using the beautiful stencils. 7 years later, I find this video and am entertained and inspired.

Gorgeous work. Like many Japanese artforms, it is meticulous and free all at once. Thanks for posting!

This is such an amazing record of history, and such a great demo. Bill holds so much knowledge, what a great way to promote the Fibre Department.

One of my tools has broken, Maiwa doesn't seem to have them anymore, and I find it difficult to order from the Japanese website, not speaking Japanese .........any ideas?

THs is so delightful. I am going to see if I can adapt the gauze technique to salt prints and cyanotypes-old forms of photographic printing. Thanks for the inspiration. Japanese stencilling is a high art indeed. :-)
