But I see italian sentences and I know the words but they are in complete different places to where you would think they should be, does this video suggest everyone has a different lingo? And also does it mean that if I just use correct masc feminine, singular plural, past present and future, I would be understood even if I put it into my own words

The problem you have is lack of proper Grammer. My Italian wife tells me this daily. The grammar and sentence structure are very important and the same amount of time needs to be put into this as learning new words. a little bit every day and you will get it.

Fun video...although a bit imprecise. No one in Italy would say...mela mangiato io. Secondly when she's explaining how to formulate a question in Italian she's not reading it correctly. Both ways sound like a question. I am Italian and I can hear that there is no difference between the two so someone trying to learn would the find it hard to hear a difference. Her pitch was not correct.

Mandarin chinese probably much easier in that aspect mainly because there is no verb conjugation and tenses. I know mandarin and arabic Fluent in english My mother tongue is malay language. you said that, Non will be added before the verb , why Sono is counted as verb before tornata ? and we say non sono tornata a casa in treno instead of (sono non tornata a casa in treno)
@christalcavanaugh
@christalcavanaugh 5 лет назад
Sorry I’m late to respond, but it’s a compound verb. “Sono tornata” means have returned. It is essentially one verb when put together for “non” goes before both verbs instead of in between them
@Erik_C_251
@Erik_C_251 3 года назад
Essere and avere are what we call “auxiliary verbs” or “helping verbs”. They are used in the present tense and combined with another verb used in the past participle. Think of the sentence “I have gone to the store”. ‘Have’ is an aux verb in the present tense, and ‘gone’ is the past participle of “Go”. Together they form a compound verb. In Italian, this same sentence is, “(Io) Sono andato al negozio”. ‘Sono’ is the aux verb in the present tense, and ‘andato’ is the past participle of “Andare”. Again, together they form a compound verb. Now, unlike English, in Italian the negation word ALWAYS comes before the verb. So, to negate the above sentence, we would say “Non sono andato al negozio”. Not exactly verbatim with English. Hope this helps.

talking about not needing a pronoun (Null-subject language). Then follows the example of "[...] aperto la scatola" which is exactly the same for hai and hanno (you and they). wtf guys....
@Erik_C_251
@Erik_C_251 3 года назад
Hai and hanno are not subject pronouns. Null-subject, also known as, pro-drop, does not require pronouns in determining to whom the verb refers. Tu and Loro are dropped in the provided examples because the verb Avere is conjugated to the correct tenses to reflect You and They.
