That's so dope, Korean is so practical its amazing. Considering the natural tendency of language of going simpler (abbreviations for example) in order to transmit information quicker, this quirk of the context having such an active role to actually omit whole parts of a sentence is so so coooooool ✨ argh it never fails to impress me

@se-eunoh6881 3 года назад
Well actually, 'Bantan we are.' isn't grammatically correct in Korean either:) But people often use that while talking. +) 'bantan' in the sentence above is not an objective, it's a complement, so it has the similar sentence structure when compared with English. So it's: SOV & SVC Hope this will help you!!
@gristen

for people that are confused, when i started learning japanese (which has the the same SOV structure) it was explained to me that you had to form sentences the way yoda would. so instead of "It is a pen" you would say "Pen, it is."

I still don't get what 를 means and what kind of situation to be used at.
@caitlinhitchcock4522
@caitlinhitchcock4522 8 лет назад
을 and 를 are object markers, they are used after an object and before a verb. they are only used in cases where the verb describes something. try thinking of the verb and then adding "what". i ate (what) and that will mean there needs to be an object marker. like with "eating" you have to be able to eat something. like an apple. and with the verb to watch, you have to watch something. it would be translated like this, I movie(object marker) watch(ed). 을 is used when the korean word has a Pacchim or what is translated as, a consonant at the end of a word like 책 (book). because there is "ㄱ" you have to use을 because a consonant like "ㄱ" can not go with another consonant "ㄹ". so it would be written like this 책을. and for an example with a vowel, 개를 (dog). 저는 책을 읽었어요 - "i (topic marker 은/는 - same Pacchim thing) book(object marker) read" - i read the book.
@mladjanab6322
@mladjanab6322 8 лет назад
를 is the direct object partivle.. You put 를 after the word that is the object of the sentence. Just like they've shown in the example: (I) ate an apple. You can learn more of this by searching it on the internet or ask a Korean friend if you have one :D Don't mark my words about the explanation, it might be incorrect, I'm not a native speaker. Have a great day

I have two questions. The first would be how a question word order would be formed( where to use how,what,when where, who, and why). My second would be when there are two nouns. Like “this baby’s bottle” or “the students textbook”

日本語と一緒じゃない? The grammar is extremely similar to Japanese, which does everything in this video as well actually. It's a good language to learn if you know one or the other! (My wife is a native Japanese speaker, but half Japanese and Korean, so we are thinking about learning Korean together. It seems like a natural progression.)

It makes sense if the subject is important in English because "I" am important in the west. I think with Korean, the community mentality makes the other thing "movie" more important in the sentence. In English it's all about what WE are doing to something, but Korean it's like, what are you taking part in... does that make sense... I dunno it helps me.
