This one-hour seminar offers an introduction to liberation psychologies in the context of social justice work. Liberation approaches were established by the work of Ignacio Martin-Baró and Paulo Freire in Latin America and continue until this day across the globe. We will briefly introduce key points and concepts of liberation psychologies. We will reflect on our personal growth and ways we can apply liberation thinking to our work and allow time for a short Q&A with the participants.
