I've been looking into this career field for over two years now, without much momentum. So far your presentation has been the most clear, concise, and informative of all the presentations I've seen. Thank you so much for your work.
Have a lifelong passion for writing. Since I'm a registered Pharmacist and a Certified Medical Coder and I'm in my 50s. Any tips on how I can further pursue this passion into a full time career?
Apply the "3 Es" process and you will get there for sure. 1. Education: As mentioned, a lot of material, videos, and course are available online. 2. Exposure: Get exposed to the medical writing community e.g. Facebook & LinkedIn groups 3. Experience: Build a portfolio. Work for free in the beginning till you build a base you can market yourself with. Work on your personal branding and network on professional platforms such as LinkedIn. Best of Luck in your career. I am sure you will reach your goals. P.S. Apologies for the delayed reply :)
I am General Physician Who has Passion for Writing and Wants to start a Medical Writing Career Do you any suggestion for Online Class for Medical Writing Thank you.
Thank you for asking .. I understand how you feel .. However, there is no risk in emailing stakeholders .. They will either: - Reply positively and give you a chance - Politely reply that they do not need your service - Do not reply at all I have been through all scenarios and learned a lot from each. Draft an email .. determine 10 stakeholders through LinkedIn .. send them clear emails of what you could add to them .. You'll be surprised of the opportunities that you may get. Let me know how it went 😊
Thank you so much. All these documents are under the scope of medical writing. However, writing manuscripts has a different approach that needs much practice. Best of Luck and let me know I could be of any support.
