Привет из 2021. В Беларуси эти машины доживают свои сроки по максимуму. Ещё полным полно целых Rover с оригиналами запчастями, но наш русский менталитет будет ремонтировать 25-летний Ровер ещё лет 10 до тех пор, пока он ездит) вечная жизнь роверам. Как владелец Rover 416 Si 1996 могу с уверенностью сказать, что это лучшая машина на которых я ездил. Надёжность 10/10. За полтора года не потребовала ни копейки вложиться в ремонт и всегда заводилась с пол-тыка, даже постояв всю зиму в -24
I still have my Rover 400 in Uruguay with 250 thousands kilometers without main problems and high satisfaction over the years. If I could have a similar mechanic blend british and japanese I would buy again Rover.
The "K" engine head gasket scenario was regretable & shouldn't have happened, the other flaw with the "K" engine was the way trapped air was ducted from the cylinder head coolant, the sticking "jiggle" ball valve once removed stopped the air lock problems. If the heater stopped working it was straight to the garage pronto as the head gasket (HG), had failed. I still have a Rover 400 1398cc my dad bought in April 1998, the head had been done twice as the first time it was done "up North" they didn't fit the later upgraded HG! The car is nearly 17 years old and has done a moderate 119,000 miles, the oil & filter has been changed religiously every 6,000 miles. Timing belt every 5/4 years or 60,000 miles. A Rover specialist I know bought some suspension parts years ago and has never sold any or replaced any on any vehicle that has come into his garage in the last 20 years! Even now with our crap roads in the UK! It has been garaged outside and utterly reliable, I am afraid if you read the forums on a lot of Continental cars, family saloons, their record of faults and component failures cannot match the humble Rover 400, if you took a little care with it and ironed out known problematic issues.
Nel 1997 ho acquistato una 414 SI. Bellissima auto, comoda, elegante. Però dopo pochi anni ho avuto seri problemi con la testata del motore.... peccato
I have a 414is with half leather, alloys, spolier etc. It still looks really classy, however without these optional extras they look dull. K series is a gem once Land rover MLS hg is on it. Peace of mind and way better than a Golf
Its a shame MG Roiver is gone, I agree that Honda should had the change to have ARG/ Rover Group, The Rover brand is now owned by Tata of India, I own a Rover 420GSi 97, Rover Sterling 99, and Vitesse 98, all nice cars.
You're right about that. I've heard the the Honda D16 and Honda 4 speed automatic were at least reliable, which, from, what I have heard, the CVT and K-series combination were not...
@@runforit420 When keeping to recommended maintenance, the K-series is a very reliable engine and also lightweight and very fuel efficient. The 1800 K-series was chosen by Lotus for their car (before they moved to Toyota engines).
@rallychamp2003 You're correct. I was making more of the reference to the CVT, which was absolutely horrible from what I have heard, than the K-series four, which is reliable if maintained according to the maintenance schedule.
Never understand why Rover didnt do a GTi model like they did on the MK1, they were extemly fast, much faster than my R800 vitesse, I seen a moded R420 with a turdo installed, Some cars had a grey interior, but some had the beige known as Sandstone, I have R420Gsi in grey leather, would love to have a Sandstone interior though. But one thing I cant understand why the sunroff was an option,. although this was corrected on the Rover 45 series.
