This is the first video session in a catechetical training series produced by the Diocese of Birmingham Catechetical Institute. In this session, David Anders (Ph.D, Church History) provides a brief introduction to the history, form, and content of the Catechism of the Catholic Church.

Being a missionary is a great responsibility! The missionary must have great energy, fortitude and courage. Wherever the issionary goes, in whatever part of the world he is in, he must spread the Word. The local people must understand what the missionary is saying to them. The missionary must get the Word right to the people! Therefore, every missionary must know the language of the local people! To everyone who is going on a mission or preparing for one I would like to recommend a very good workshop by Yuriy Ivantsiv Polyglot Notes. Practical tips for learning foreign language. This excellent book will give you answers how to correctly learn a foreign language with a minimum of your time and effort. This book answers many of the questions that everyone faces when learning a language. Good luck with your important work!

11:30 The organic parts.. The organic parts could no be integrated without giving the definition of atomic parts from ware derived the four parts. Therefore we got a set of rolls governing the behavior and interaction of this parts which didn't existed. The biggest folt of Second Vatican Council in ieace of Catholic Church was cawordness of bishops constituting the Catholic Cathechs in confront the world.

3:07 The catechism is... The lector deliberately avoids stating that the set of codes governs the behavior of individuals who will attain salvation and that it is the only correct path. By not explicitly mentioning it, the lector ensures that those who deviate from this path are discouraged from joining the church established by Jesus Christ.

Jesus is HEAD OF THE CHURCH which IS HIS BODY" (ephesians 1:22-23) "having rule, authority, power, dominion OVER EVERY NAME that is named...." "...all things created by Him, thrones, dominions, authorities... He is also the HEAD OF THE CHURCH having PRE EMINENCE... ..ABOVE ALL THINGS" (colossians 1:15-18) [You have heard it had been said the Pope is head of church...? ] !! NOT according to these scriptures. It has been said the pope is the 'Vicar' (substitute, in place) of Christ. REALLY? ...Jesus said "I will send the holy spirit, (the spirit of truth) when HE comes he will testify of Me in the scriptures and glorify Me" The spirit is [Vicar], not the pope, who is mortal man...a sinner. No..the pope has glorified himself as equal to Jesus. You heard it had been said, the Pope is infallible [all have sinned] and is the authority in interpretation of scripture with no mistakes... yet ephesians and colossians both say Jesus is "head of the church" ...there is no interpretation issue, it is simple blasphemy to deny the written word of God. Scripture says "There is ONE MEDIATOR between God and men...Jesus Christ" Mary is not a mediator. Nor our advocate. Nor an intercessor. ONE SACRIFICE ONCE FOR ALL...not mass repeat sacrifice rituals. Jesus IS all the above, it is written. Rosaries are merely..."they bow down to gods that cannot save, made of wood and stone, made with their hands"..(isaiah.) Folks,....let he who has ears to hear, hear.

@William Cloud first off your question makes no sense since you cannot find the word bible from the bible itself nonetheless, let me give it a short.hopefully you will come to your senses. Matthew16:18 New International Version And I tell you that you are Peter, and on this rock I will build my CHURCH NOT BIBLE and the gates of Hades will not overcome it. John21:25 Jesus did many other things as well. If every one of them were written down, I suppose that even the whole world would not have room for the books that would be written. Furthermore, thomas , phlip , andrew , bartholomow and Simon the Zealot never felt the need to write epitles Dont you think that GOD would have commissioned them write too, if bible was the sole authority for morals and salvation. As an aside , u dont have indwelling HS .what you have the spririt of deciet in you and your lack of common sense testifies this fact. From experience , I can also tell that instead of addressing the above verses you will simply argue against them by using eisegesis to prove your unbiblical worldview.

@William Cloud you forgot to say the catholic church also added 27 books to the bible (new testament) and 1200 hundred years after that, protestants removed 7 books from the bible (old testament), you should read and understand the bible before you speak of it, you don't do justice to CHRIST with your ignorance.

"The second edition differs in two ways. First, the second edition reflects the changes that were made in the final Latin text in 1997. Second, the second edition includes a new index. Catholics over centuries we're not allowed to read scripture...under threat of violence and death ...as only the magisterium can understand it. The catechism is a way for the lay person to understand His word. The lay person doesn't have the authority to understand it's revelation. Canon is a way to record that revelation that build over centuries. Just like for a Catholic to be close to God the Father....he should do works of the flesh...such as sacraments and prayers, communion, etc....and read catechism....that will bring someone close to the father. Reading scripture could confuse a lay person to travel outward from church doctrine....like they think what Happened to the protesters.

@@raulnsherah ...good point. Why do Catholics in this age of information still believe in the religious/political sham? Most people are sheep. They have been led to the slaughter of socialism/welfare-state and so religion is the same as politics. People want some human and/organization to follow. And are not open to unlearning and relearning truth. It probably will be this way until His second coming. This is why it is important to ban all truth from the internet so politics and religion can remain the perfect tool to control the masses.

the Father and the Son are the Parents of the Holy Spirit, if many churches are correct. The Trinity is a Family-- two Parents and an Offspring, if many churches are correct. In the Bible, our Lord Jesus Himself said, " I and the Father are One".--John 10:30 On the topic of marriage in general, according to the Bible Jesus said "they are no longer two but one..."-Matthew 19:6

One of the best modern day Catholic books (no imprimatur) has caused more people to get their homes and properties blessed is George Knapp's co-authored book "Hunt for the skin walker". Not a flowery saint book, but real life. Afterwards, hear what Fr Gommar DePauw has to say about the Mass. Welcome to Catholic Teaching 2019! (Gensix Productions for additional Bible study). PS Dave Paulides "Missing 411" is also a real eye opener.

so basically, Catechism is...... the fact that even if you have a relationship with god, read and understand all his texts, that you are still dammed because you are not a slave to the Church... Now i understand how the Priests agree with all i have to say about god, yet condemn me.. if a Church was so important to Jesus Teachings he would have mentioned it or build some.. His focus was the Temple..
