This is like G-Develop, but instead of the spreadsheet type coding, in Ct.js, one works with actual Javascript. Thus, this is excellent for those of us who are programmers or even those who would like to LEARN programming or those who don't want to use spreadsheet styles to code their games. And there are A TON of people who would rather work with Javascript with the endless benefits of learning such language. So, Ct.js is excellent!! And I love how this is just as intuitive as G-Develop!!
Nowadays ct.js also has a 2nd really begginer friendly language option called CoffeeScript that is like JavaScript had a baby with python as it have very few special characters and is mainly plain English.
This would be the exact tool that I want all along, compared to so many game engines this seemed even more well-thought into real production environment rather than pure enthusiasm on just trying to extend features that you actually don't need.
Game Maker killer. I tested joypads with it, and to my surprise it handled even the most nuanced movement in the space shooter tutorial, I hope console export is on the chopping block!
i really wanna like this but as a beginner the documentation leaves a lot to be desired, especially compared to a more robust, even if more complex, engine like phaser
I think it is actually pretty well documented. I also was a beginner who didn't know the language but by just following the the 3 documented games I was able to learn a lot just by testing the code and even tho I didn't know much I was then quickly able to adapt the code snippets into my own project and learnt from their. The is also a discord where you can as for help from other users of the devs.
