Recently released ship combat mobile game, Victory Belles, I kickstarted it a few years ago and it is fine out. Gives me something to do on breaks and on the side at home.
I first known this game from meme lmao, "shipgirls fandoms" etc. etc., Honestly, I'd say VB is in its own category, it's beautifully simple, but at the same time, a bit complex, what brought me in however, was the artstyle, not everyday you see this kind of stuff, I really like the ol pin-up artstyle(if that is the right word, but I know it as that) and also the fact that for the love of goodness gracious, there isn't really a hard-loli in VB, a very freshly different stuff you usually see on animu games in general, but anyway, thanks for the insight!
Even in-period pin-up artwork would have some pretty sexy drawings, but not hard-loli. So its not on the extreme of Azur Lane's designs or the all school girl theme of Kantai Collection. Its like it could be the ship spirit taking form. xD
@@PerfectDeath4 yeah, very fresh introduction too, what really gives me the rofl when I joined is that some ships were given a list of their armaments and Bulldog has "Foul Mouth" as one of hers lol, it's beautiful. beside that, Im just casually playing and steaming through the game slowly(ish), I don't really understand anything about how the mechanics work either, I'm lvl 24, have one full DD fleet, and the second is a half-complete CL fleet cause I have bad experience with single lead flagship constantly getting whacked lmao, I'm just grinding Hell's Carnevale for the last italian CL there, and then I'll probably transition to full Bangkok after to grind for the CA there.. and maybe AV, cause I'm surely interested in the prospects of how it'll work, I'm assuming it's a Seaplane tender right? so more recon planes I guess? how does reconnaissance really work anyway? and if you discover them, what can you do? cause I tried reading the tutorial slowly but then I still forgot anyway kek XD
@@chiisan3776 Yeah that AV is a seaplane tender, has space for LOADS of scouts. Which is definitly useful for running CVs, can't airstrike without scouting. But for surface fleets scouting isn't too powerful, if anything I find deploying scouts has a higher chance of making you detected for morgana air strikes. I stuck with a CL+DD fleet until HQ40, my CAs were in a cruise fleet to salvage vestures and get exp from Recruit (who gives bonus exp to lower level ships on her cruises). But by HQ40 I feel I need to get at least 3 of those CAs in the main fleet. xD
@@PerfectDeath4 wait, Recruit gives extra XP? thas something... noted then, vielen danke! that's also some insight, say, how many CA can you get before HQ40? like, can you make a full fleet before that or? I'm thinking the early jap CAs are the Myoko-classes n' maybe the Mogami(late).. certainly not Takaos right? I'm not as well versed in Japanese ships as I'd like XD
I recently got VB and I'm around HQ level 22 and I'm enjoying it although still a noob, can't wait to find my favorite Battleships and thanks for the tips
A very common question asked on discord. - Centerlines can all shoot all at the same time; however, for example if a torpedo/turret crit happens then RIP... especially if you run something like pure oxygen torpedoes you can lose a lot of DPS. - Wing/casemate mounts are split, only half can fight at one time, I've heard the devs plan to implement a more accurate 3D modeling but for now it is more abstract. However, half wing/casemate mounts cannot be damaged during one combat phase. - For evasive DDs centerline is definitely best, they don't have the spare weight capacity to hold half their firepower back for protection. - Wings/casemates can be more viable for CLs, CAs, and BBs in order to have back-up weapons for use in other combat phases but the loss of half your dps might not be worth it. But wing torpedoes do get a 2nd shot because only half fire on the first surprise phase, can help avoid overkills. - Lastly, for AA mounts, wings allow the AA guns to split fire to different attacking aircraft, that "suppresses" more fighters from being accurate. Torpedo bombers have a behaviour of splitting their attack to strike from both sides. So for big ships that get focused by torpedo bombers get lots of wing AA guns. - Casemates apply the belt armor to whatever is put into the slot; however, their upward firing angle is greatly reduced. Though it is of note that torpedo bombers attack from low angles, high angle AA is for hitting dive bombers. - Some main battery guns can act as dual purpose anti-surface and anti-air guns like the USA 5"/38, those DP guns can provide AA support to other ships being attacked by aircraft. - Well... that was a long reply, game's got depth. xD
There are emulators that can run IOS or Android. I use a program called NOX, there's also Bluestacks, LDPlayer, and more but those are just the 3 that come to mind. Everyone I've talked to have an emulator they hate and one they are okay with, none are perfect though. But saves your phone from overheating. I've also seen someone running two Victory Belle accounts on their computer since you can multi-device with them. From an MMORPG I still play there's people who run like 6 or more instances at one time. xD
is it possible to get lost ship girls back? i unfortunately lost the one at the beginning permanently due to a mistake i made (Hans Ludemann) and i was wondering if there's a way to re-get her. it shows her as a belle of interest in the stragglers campaign, but she doesn't appear otherwise. i understand not being able to repair or use anymore due to being "killed in action" but is there a way to rebuild/re-find them? or is it a legit 1 and done kind of deal?
If you gather enough vestures they should be rescuable again, I remember people saying early game they would do this with Kasumi and Shigure for their quad Oxygen torps. =\
@@PerfectDeath4 well she appeared in the list of rescuable ships for a while even after i lost her, but now she's not there anymore so i dunno whats going on.
@@anime4life209 if you draw a circle on the screen it opens the bug report menu. I'd first check if you have her vestures, it might be that her vestures were used to promote someone else? That normally won't auto-fill with un-rescued ships but could be different for lost ships. Having no vestures for a ship removes them from your list.
