I have been struggling to understand the concepts behind NMR for a while now and have not been able to find a simple, clear explanation of the basic physics behind NMR until now. I was just looking for more videos about NMR after viewing this wonderful series when I saw that Sir Paul Callaghan had died of cancer a few months ago. What a shame. This amazing man has helped me, and from the looks of things, about a hundred thousand other people all around the world understand NMR much better than I had before. I have no doubt that he will help millions more in the future. RIP Dr. Callaghan.

It is really the best online videos series of NMR I´ve watched, congratulations. Finally I´ve understood relaxation times: T1, T2 and T2*!

@5:19 A beautiful explanation easy to understand and remember. @ 6:10 (he left out) the stimulus field is very small compared to strength of the static field.

My goodness! After hours of trying to grapple with MRI, this is so simple to understand because it's explained so well.
