Kudos to the first investigator for noping out of that house. Secconds after I ridicule him for investigating a spooky ass house at night, he just up and leaves lol.
That moment was so perfect lmao, it was genuinely funny and reflects the viewers' feelings while watching with a reasonable in-universe explanation while also giving us a moment of relief as someone who was just set up as our POV character for the time being does the obviously correct thing to do in this situation and gets the fuck right outta there, just before letting us know that there's still horror yet to be experienced ahead and we're gonna be stuck in one place in a creepy ass house viewing it.
He was the smart one. Always in the horror films and the like, one gets a bad feeling and leaves the place. Coward, right? Well then the others get murdalized by a Hellish monster… And the coward survives! Smart coward.
Everyone talks about the "Victim's corpse is seen being tampered with by invisible force", but I personally can not get over the whole "Distraught at the sight of her missing infant." Every time it happens, chills run down my spine. The way it looks like she's just ascending, which could be somewhat funny, just to have all the humour ripped off to reveal the dark truth of it all, is probably one of the most disturbing things in this series. I also love the line, because distraught at the SIGHT of her missing infant implies that she found him, but realised something was wrong. This subtly hints at the reveal that Adam was an alternate, meaning Lynn wasn't depressed, she contracted M.A.D.. The song used also perfectly sets the scene. Yes, it's very unnerving, and helps with the tone, but there's something I noticed. In this piece, there is the high, castrato voice, but also the instrumental piano behind. This piano was taken from Bach's Prelude in C Major. You know where else this song appears? Right at the end of Vol. 333, when The Alternate catches up to Thatcher. Not only does this support the theory that Adam made The Alternate into being, but it also ties together this small part of this amazing series. Also the rest of the episode is pretty great.
The fact that it’s funny at first and the placement of the objects even makes it look like a meme made in this day and age makes it scarier for me. It shows that the alternates perceive this as entertaining and funny. To them, this is a joke. It’s sick entertainment to them.
I know right? That line is so haunting. One of the scariest things I genuinely think I’ve seen on the internet. The entire series is super well written.
4:12 “After taking the previously shown photo, the investigator reported an “overwhelming sense of dread” and left the scene immediately” *finally* someone with fucking common sense!
I think what’s more scary is that investigators don’t usually have this response to even the worst of crime scenes. Maybe strong disgust, but to feel such dread that you immediately bale out is unheard of.
@@MidgarMerc i've heard that the fanbase is literred with the sexualization of minors and also that the game is pay to win and while i can't confirm either, i wouldn't put it past them it is unfair to just say this but i may check it out, take my comment with multiple grains of salt
@@novemberiscoolithink it's an anime game with a couple child characters so obviously you're gonna get some weirdos in there being gross weirdos. The game itself is actually pretty tame and very rarely takes an overly horny approach to anything. It's not 100% pay to win. Many players have never spent a dime on the game and have very good teams. Obviously dumping money into the game with fast track you into a great team but gameplay and team composition are much more important than just having the shiny thing. The game gives you several free characters too and a bunch of free pulls from just playing through the story. Though if gacha games aren't your cup of tea (as in focusing on dailies and seasonal events and slow grinding) then maybe pass or stick to the main storyline. The pay to win aspect only matters for the Challenge Mode area called The Spiral Abyss. Everything else is pretty easy
honestly the best execution on a suicide moment in a horror series i've ever seen. like the way opera music plays in the background and the objects become realistic when the lights 'turn on' just makes it seem like you're watching this from the perspective of a sick lunatic who sees tragedy as comedy
Man, I want to learn how to do that: arranging certain words in a sentence in order to create something that DOES sound phonetically correct to the English language, but once actually reading it, with or without context, the meaning sounds like something that shouldn't be realistically possible in our realm.
Horrifying and saddening. Mothers who can't move on from their still borns are a pitiful sight.. :(( Ironic how we're all feeling Horrified when seeing our mother and hearing their screams or agony or even their cries or their pains. It really hits our pain spot 🙁
An interesting fact about the song playing on the television: For many decades, there was a trend of taking young male singers and castrating them as children so that they may always keep their high-pitched voices, which they found to be more beautiful than typical adult male voices. They were called castrato. This was made illegal sometime in the 1800s, and this recording is the recording of the last known castrato, and the only known recording of one. His name was Alessandro Moreschi. He died in 1922.
No way I didnt even notice that. I remembered listening to the audio on yt once and I swear it creeped tf out of me because you can hear the sadness in his voice man its quite depressing. I even saw a whole documentary on castrato but it's no longer on yt anymore :( it was super interesting
I don’t think he’s going to, he’s innocent after all. Alex is known for being like mentally scary, and I believe this may just be a sign of how messed up things are. I may be wrong, but hope not
For those who are sensitive to jumpscares, there are none in this video. Minor instances of disturbing images suddenly coming into frame with no loud audio queue.
much respect for the investigator who correctly identified the house's rancid vibes and just left. wish more people did that in horror. "The vibes in here are rancid and I'm feeling a little spooked, so I'm just going to go." love that for him.
The best types of horror media makes you interprete it and imagine what monsters lie beyond rather than show it, which is far creepier than simple jumpscare tropes
"distraught at the SIGHT of her MISSING infant" now makes me think her infant went missing, but came back to her in such a terrible state she killed herself
I feel like the reason why alternates don't kill children is because they are incapable of doing so. What i mean is that the alternates main attack is psychological, which means that they can make people kill themselves. A typical young child is not familiar of self-harm, suicide, murder, etc. So they won't do it because they don't know what that is. If a child ever faces an alternate it would be expected that they would scream, cry, etc. but they won't kill themselves. What the alternates do is that they wait until the children grow up. So my theory is that young kids are basically invincible to alternates until they get older.
The singing heard at 1:35 is a 1902 recording of Alessandro Moreschi. He was a castrato, which is a boy who has been castrated in before puberty in order to retain a high-pitched and powerful voice when singing. He was the one of the last of his kind, and the only one to ever have his voice recorded so that we can hear it today. The fact that Alex decided to use this specific audio recording for this video brings a whole new unsettling layer to this video.
The censor box is what makes analog horror amazing. Although it would be nice in these vids to either see the edges of what's happening or the censor box being put there half-hazardly so we see a flash of what might be there. Kinda like in Boozos Ghosts.
That's why it's scary. NOT knowing actually makes horror scarier than knowing. The fact that we don't know WHAT this unknown creature did to the victim is freakier than actually showing it.
knowing that the corpse was censored even for the police, and then the tape saying the victim is "completely unidentifiable at this time" gave me such a visceral reaction- using the word tampering must have been *majorly* sugar coating what happened. can only imagine. masterful stuff right here bro love what you're doing
I am glad there are comments here so I can express my love for this "show" ! I am sorry for everything that happened to you in the last few months, Alex. Your community is here for you, and we truly appreciate your work.
The part where it states that the investigator felt an “overwhelming sense of dread” seems so eerie it’s real. Imagine going to a empty house to investigate and sensing you aren’t alone
It´s also amazing that after volume 3 we get a bit more insight to this moment. Officer Ruth was already on her way to the house but the man was so scared he didn´t wait for her and bailed, which was honestly the smartest decision in any horror related media ever
1:25 this song is being sung by a castrato, a man has been castrated before puberty to keep his high voice. the history behind these singers is really disturbing and i recommend you look into it!!
"The victims corpse is seen being tampered by some invisible force." Is genuinely one of the most horrifying things I have seen, the fact you don't even see how mutilated the body is as well as the fact its a mother who committed suicide after her child suddenly disappeared without a trace, really give me chills.
@@cordyceps7531 oh yeah, you're right, because it said child like crying, I assumed it was a child, but the child disappeared through the TV, leaving the mother to commit suicide as it shows just before, better edit my comment then.
@Fang Lazken AKA Ranshi maybe your gonna be puke if you watch a video after we saw a tampered body without censored like that. Because it's not safely for watching this videos, if someone is underage to watch that disgusting body tampered without no blur a body was just destroy by Invisible force just like a Movies Predator and Poltergeist.
@@eeddiethehead your right! That's a Intruder is not a Human like us but he was a Alternate or ghost like a horror movies just like "Paranormal Activity and Poltergeist".
Something I'm interested in is the way even materials warning people about alternates is that they're full of horrific material themselves, that would not reasonably be shown in an instructional video. For a long time I've had a theory and this tape in particular seems to support it; Alternates are affecting recorded content after it's already been produced. The THINK Principle video might not have even meant to say "Kill yourself" in any way when it was made, but after it already reached circulation it was corrupted by external forces. It makes me wonder about that angel again. Why, really, isn't the angel in the Vol. 1 compilation? The compilation has materials changed from what we've seen before. And the angel, potentially an immensely dangerous alternate, is missing. I think it doesn't want to be seen by certain eyes.
I mean, if memory serves, they're sometimes called "alters". So, *altering* footage or information after the fact might totally be in their wheelhouse. I also have a theory about the angel, and just "alternates" in general. What are their key defining features? Anatomically impossible alterations to the human form. You know. Wings. Animal heads. Horns. Extra limbs. What if human religions, or at the very least the way divine entities within those religions are perceived, are just due to encounters with specific kinds of alternates? You see this almost universally throughout world religions. Valkyries, Abrahamic angels and demons, the myriad of gods in the various polytheistic traditions. Egyptian Gods having animal heads or other such features, Hindu deities with multiple limbs, the Kami of Shinto possessing all manner of anatomic *alter*ations of the human form.
@@RaptorJesus speaking of which I did speak to the creator on Reddit, and when I asked him if this man is related to the alternates, he responded that he’s working alongside them.
"Victim's corpse seen being tampered with by an invisible force." Me at home playing VR, flinging a ragdoll around: "Damn, these graphics are hella realistic."
I'm sorry, but I keep bursting into laughter whenever I see an Alternate smiling like Jerma. I burst into laughter at 0:51 because although I wasn't expecting it instead of being scared I just thought of "When the Impostor is sus"
A lot of this happens to be centered around fear. For example, during the emergency operator scene in the other video, it says not to talk too much, for you might show your fear. Additionally, in this episode, "Scary Imagery" happens to be the last topic considered unsafe for young children before it cuts to the "they exist on different spectrums" screen. Also, the mother takes her own life after losing her child, possibly as a result of immense fear (or just a natural but grim result of what happened.) The contents shown on the TV may have been too scary for the infant, causing it to disappear, possibly taken by something. There are two main theories I've got here. 1. Some event has caused fear to create extreme homicidal and suicidal tendencies, and these mentally changed people are referred to as "Alternates." 2. There are creatures (perhaps the Alternates) that attempt to mimic human lifeforms, the first type just being there to root itself into a family or relationship, the last being creatures that exist possibly just to *scare* people. Perhaps the fear attracts the Alternates, or in the case of the infant, the power to manifest nearby and kidnap/kill you. EDIT: At the time of typing this, I've just now realized that maybe the Alternates are actually just entities that possess the ability to manipulate and edit video media, all in the purpose of scaring the viewer (maybe even us!) which adds onto the theory that these creatures feed off of fear and/or use it as a weapon to reach their victims. The recurring face may be a representation of the entity, mocking us because it knows that if we, the viewers, are watching it, that means that it's spread to a much, much larger scale than just TVs. I only discovered this recently, so forgive me for any misconceptions. If there's anything you want to add to this or change, please let me know in the replies.
There’s something really unnerving about the idea that the monster or killer isn’t afraid to show their face to the camera. It’s almost like it knows it’s otherworldly power and the fact no one can do anything about it. So it just decided to taunt them further and allow them to look at it’s face before walking away.
Looking back at the Suicide investigation, and knowing know what happened there in Volume 3 is insane. I thought this place would never get brought up again. 1. Stanley talks to Adam Murray when he’s a kid, causing him to create an Alternate that isn’t in complete form. It’s twisted and doesn’t resemble anyone. 2. The alternate hurts and most likely kills Mrs. Murray, and remains unmoving. 3. Jude Murray calls Thatcher Davis for help, as Adam’s alternate couldn’t have possibly broken in without his knowledge. 4. Police Investigator is sent to collect evidence and observe the house, but decides to run. 5. When Thatcher calls Ruth for backup, the Alternate most likely speaks to Jude, infecting him with M.A.D. 6. Jude kills himself (Hence the suicide investigation) before help can arrive. 7. Police officer sets up the camera system, sees Jude’s corpse being tampered with by the alternate. The Alternate is deemed unidentifiable, and since it doesn’t resemble anyone, they assume that it can’t possibly be an alternate. 8. Ruth and Tatcher inspect the house, resulting it Ruth’s death. With that, the Alternate begins to take form, and follows Thatcher back to his precinct. Alex, absolutely masterful work.
This is honestly one of the best explanations I’ve read for this series, you my friend, have talent if your able to figure all this out, cause I can’t, so thank you very much for helping me understand everything I’ve missed during this series
Yeah but Mrs Murray didn’t get killed. She killed herself. The kid who got kidnapped was Adam Murray, So it is a great explanation but could investigate more.
You know how kids play with action figures? Imagine something like that, but the action figure is a bloated corpse of a middle aged woman, and the kid is invisible.
I don't know if anyone's already pointed this out, but if you turn on Closed Captions (which in this case, are generated automatically by RU-vid), it recognizes the alarm at 2:48 as "Laughter", which I find excruciatingly creepy. But even creepier than that, just at the very last frame, when it says on screen that this "must not be released to the public for any reason", it just captions it as "you". Would be scary if it was part of the creator's plan, but the fact that, again, these are AUTOMATICALLY GENERATED makes it horrifying.
I saw some closed captions while the mother was looking for her child that said somehting along the lines of "me is foreign." Not sure if anyone else has seen this.
I feel like ive found a gold mine that hasnt been touched yet, you're extremely talented and interested in this plot. If this is not an Alternate then who or what is this creature and what does it have to do with Mark and Caesar. Keep up the good work :)
@@hugenuts3968 damn it’s my first time watching this series and to know that someone had already gone through it many times is terrifying for me to do, but maybe after finishing it i’ll be used to it and i won’t get scared anymore

Something I recognize: the singing that starts at 1:25 is the voice of Alessandro Moresechi. Back in ye olden days, by that I mean like 11th century to 18th century, choirs would castrate some of the male choir boys (probably against their will most of the time) before they hit puberty in order to preserve their high pitched voices. The singing you hear is not that of a young choir boy, but rather that of a 44 year old man. Luckily, this practice was banned, or at least fell out of favor. Still, it’s terrifying how they tried to preserve the voices of young boys, but when you see the face behind the voice, it’s almost uncanny valley-like. I’m terrible at coming up with theories or interpreting things, so I have no clue what connection, if any, this has with the actual storyline of the Mandela Catalogue, but I doubt it’s just for the sake of sounding creepy or being scary. edit: I just noticed, the singing also appears in “Exhibition”. So now, I *highly* doubt it’s just for the sake of sounding creepy.
In this universe, religious practices must be different since now Satan overthrone Jesus, so in this sense, it could just be referencing the fact that religious acts were cruel like this, or as you said, "being creepy for the sake of being creepy"
@@Ghost-fv6lw the song being sung is called Ava Maria, I think. Here’s the link if you want to listen to the full thing: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-KLjvfqnD0ws.html
I heard about Alessandro Moresechi and the song as of last Tuesday I believe. Originally I was afraid of that song playing in this video where the mother committed suicide after her child was abducted by the intruder via television because of how creepy it sounded within the context of that segment, and then I heard it in the Mr. Incredible becoming uncanny meme involving getting lost in certain places. However, when I learned about the castrated singer's backstory, it left me even more unnerved, but also depressed. I hate the song, but not for the reason of "it's too depressing and scary waaaa!1!1!1!", but for a different reason; the fact that the practice up until the 18th century was common and acceptable.
Yes, this Moreschi recording is from around 1904 if memory serves. While the _castrato_ are a thing of the past, occasionally, contemporary singers can achieve similar effects, such as Radu Marian, who has Kallman syndrome, a condition which basically delays puberty.
The scene with the mom absolutely discomforted the shit out of me, it was amazing. The cut to the empty cradle and the tv and then the sudden cut of the mother hanging herself is absolutley horrifying i didnt even want to look. Well done.
(2:36) something i noticed that i havent seen discussed: when everything turns into realistic images, the tv turns into a realistic tv, the door turns into a realistic door, and the baby crib turns into… a coffin.
"Distraught at the sight of her missing infant." This is horrifying. I know I'm looking too deep into this, but what if her child had died and she was hearing the baby cry while she was slowly going crazy, then when she realized she was hallucinating/hearing things, she hung herself. That part hit me though.
I know this was a month ago but that's a cool theory! Personally I think she went to check on her crying child, but it turned out it was the alternate mimicking her child after it killed it. So the mother killed herself because she realised the alternate had taken her child away
My theory is that the tv was the one driving her crazy AFTER the baby abduction, so she probable killed herself because of de metaphysical awareness disorder
2:30 Everything about this part is pure art. Something about the switch to more realistic images, paired with the abstract imagery of the suicide backed by the melancholic opera music just feels so tragic and beautiful. (Also the coffin in place of the cradle is HEAVY symbolism) Definitely the best Mandela Catalogue moment for me.
I got a recommendation from RU-vid for the Mandela Catalogue Vol 1 and I'm glad. This is really good. I like how "censoring" information lets your imagination run wild and lets you construct possibilities more horrifying than anything we could be shown.
god the part where the light turns on is the perfect blend of jumpy and dreadful. the buildup is prolonged, the noise is jarring and loud but in a way that is justified and makes contextual sense, the sudden brightness, the stark white under uncannily specific visuals after we've watched simplified shapes for so long... its really good! it seriously gives me a chill. im taking notes as we speak
I remember that a year ago I saw a clip of this on tik tok and I looked it up here. It was so well made that I started looking into other anolog horror like twf. I now love it and wouldn’t be the same person without it. Thank u so much Alex, for giving us this work of art. I’m so excited for other instalments or other pieces by him.
I need a video game like this, elements out of pure fear and horror, but with no screaming or unnecessary loud noises. The closest we had to that is the first Silent Hill game.
Now that i'm rewatching this, with the new Mandela Catalyst upload, it just makes me wanna know more about Adam's story and how Alex is gonna answer these questions about his story,I love these series fr
1:35 fun fact about this song: This song in particular (Ave Maria, CG 89a) is sung by none other than Alessandro Moreschi who is known to be be the last known Castrato singer in history, yet is the first ever singer to be recorded (this being in 1861 i think??) To those who don’t know Castrato is a voice type, much like soprano and/or alto but is most commonly in males that have been castrated before puberty in order to keep their high-pitched voice for opera singing. This of course came with many health risks but i digress. Knowing the dark history of this song makes this scene much more chilling to me, at least in some sense. (edit: sorry if this is typed really badly i’m typing this at midnight lol)
@@skybliss338 being a castrato was actually sought after because it came with a practical guarantee of good pay and employment for life! There are of course other reasons to think about why young children (8-10, if I remember correctly?) may wish to retain a high voice and avoid male puberty. Performance aesthetics certainly plays a role, and there’s also the question of “how much are the parents or guardians of this child using them for money?” Gender politics in 17th-19th century Italian opera are really interesting, and Spanish is similar in that only individuals who are biologically female were desired for performance on stage, which led to AFAB individuals training their voices and bodies to look and sound more masculine.
Really good work. The beginning was a little strange but I really liked the pacing throughout. The ending was super creepy, the clacking part helped between frames from the camera. I liked how everything wasn’t cut and dry as well. Looking forward to more if you keep going :)
This is, bar none, the best Mandela video you've made. I so desperately wish you'd go back and show society's reaction to over 3,000 kids just disappearing, I find that so much more intriguing than the individual characters.
I suspect they are like the whiping angels. If you look at them too long trough a screen, even if a photo, they will get inside of you and kill you from within in time.
Make sense as there is different monsters because having a buffed up killing machine humanoid with THAT kind of powers is assured to be on a higher plane of dimensions
This series is so cleverly done. I especially admire the moment where the woman's figure is going up. I thought to myself "It looks like she's levitating, but she's just going to the door." But my suspicions were proven right. This series plays with your mind and I love it. Excellent work!
i thought the crib was simply somewhere near the middle of the wall and the room was wider and she was walking to look for the child, i guess she didn't want to look for it
@@merelyaghost. Oh she found it, the text says "she was distraught at the sight of her missing child" Most likely the alternate on the TV showed her what she dreaded, her dead child. Whether it was actually dead or not is not clear.
this is unbelievably unnerving and i 100% appriciate the fact there are no cheap jumpscares. This is legitimately terrifying honestly, fantastic work i hope to see more of this soon.
Because she knew her child wouldn't come back. she knew that those entities took her child away and she'd never be able to get her child back. so, she just decided to kill herself.
The missing child part of this reminded me of a legend about the Fae It basically went like this: If you called a baby or child “cute” or “sweet” (anything complimentary really) the Fae would listen in and whisk the child away, and leave in its place a Changeling The Changeling child is usually a twig or branch enchanted to become a “human”-typically the child is ill-mannered or mean, and usually get sick and die/turn back into a stick after some time has passed
Jackislegitterrified by your comment. The idea that giving a baby a compliment will get it taken is frightening. Not only that but in your mind the baby will be a shite and then will die....only to be revealed as a stick or something.
I love it that unlike most horror scenes, where someone goes to an abandoned house alone, the first guy sent to investigate noped out of there before going in, and the second guy set a camera and also left lmao its what I would've done aswell
My theory: I think the "they are on different spectrums" refers to young children. Let me explain, we've seen that the alternates kill people in some unknown way, but maybe they have to kill younger children in a different way because they are on a different spectrum, a different wavelength that alternates cannot kill, or maybe see, and they have to use television (Which USES wavelengths) to kill them. This explains why in vol. 1 why mark wasnt killed by the shadowy guy, because he was on a different spectrum.
pretty sure it meant the intruders that live in different spectrums. They arent able to make contact with any human being with their naked eye therefore they would find ways to make themselves known through technology. Thats why we manage to see these intruders faces through camera or television
I might have somehow ruined the whole scary factor for myself because I discovered this seires through Sr. Pelo's parody and now every time I see one of those scary smiling faces my mind immediatly goes "eee"
I remember having a strange dream back when I was in elementary school. I had a really nice teacher back then and I became so attached to her to the point where I'd occasionally have dreams about her. One time, I got a dream where I was alone in the classroom, hiding under one of the desks. My "teacher" was sitting behind her table, and she was talking to.... Me? I knew it wasn't me. I knew it wasn't my teacher. Their speech was muted gurgles, their faces looked mutilated beyond recognition. There was no emotion on their face. "I" (aka the copy of me), had pitch white eyes. I was hiding under the desk and hoping they won't find me. For some reason, there was a phone next to me, but when I picked it up, it would only display one thing. A live video. It seemed to be recorded from another point of view, it was my "teacher" and "me" talking. However, even if the video claimed to be a live, everytime I would look at the phone the creatures would just freeze in place, staring at me. Everything that happened next is a blur to me. This video and mandela catalogue overall reminded me of this dream.
Grooming seems to be such a popular allegation these days, but I’m on no one’s side, so I can’t say whether it’s true or false because we just don’t know.
@@ireallylikecheesygarlicbread We are not lying that grooming is widespread, but that does not make every person accused of this act mean that it is actually like this Andrew Tate's image is being tarnished by some accusations that he is a criminal, which are actually lies Regarding Alex, it is enough that the one who spread those lies, Van, apologized because she was lying and deleted her Twitter account.
Might as well give my interpretation of this The alternates are seemingly fully sentient and intelligent, as we heard in volume one that they’re capable of speech, and it’s also mentioned that they have some sort of psychic power, which probably explains things like the ‘kill yourself’ message in the THINK principle, the scary night story and the TV alternate shown in this episode. They take pleasure in killing and seem to gain an advantage by knowing what their chosen victim is afraid of, most likely due to allowing them to use their psychic abilities to their full extent. It’s also possible that they can shapeshift in any way shape or from with no physical limitations, although this may be false as the alternate that kills Mark/Cesar (I forgot) is seemingly unable to open the door to their victims bedroom, thus attempting to lure them out with promise of a ‘gift’ instead, so it’s more likely that the fear thing is relevant only to their supernatural abilities. This ‘psychic’ power is also probably the ‘invisible force’ tampering with the corpse in this tape. Also, for some reason, every alternate except the four (five if you count the type 2 in the original video) alternates shown in the THINK principle have pale white skin. Maybe they know about the tapes and are using their powers to corrupt the footage to make it harder for them to be tracked? TLDR alternates are extradimensional serial killers with psychic powers
My take on it was that some sort of catastrophic event has caused alternates to appear, and the impossible physical deformities are because an alternate and "original" are not supposed to exist at the same time. They are probably in constant pain and can only correct their deformities by getting rid of their own alternate, which is why the first video specifically warns about someone who looks exactly like you targeting you. They feel the extreme inverse of our own emotions, which is why showing them fear makes them start to feel more comfortable with their own existence (and starts to destabilize yours). The safety tapes are alternate propaganda filled with memetic agents designed to make you fear them more.
didn't it say the TV guy isn't an alternate tho? also I like to imagine the Kill yourself in the THINK steps was added by an alternate who infiltrated the government which is why it shows up and disapears very quickly
Honestly, I love how you wear your inspirations on your sleeve, but try to tell a different story with a different direction! And your very open to criticism and not afraid to redo older works! That's a good thing!
@@Maximaker02 well elsewhere security is taught to pretend to be helping calling victims but not do anything. It seems they can't be dealt with so police just tries preventing them but can't remove them.
This lead me to think either alternates are working with the police department with the police’s benefit being that they don’t take their lives or a majority if not e v e r y o n e of the police staff are alternates
I think this might actually be a positive. It is known that alternates or someone who acknowledges the potential futility in investigating alternate cases has established a system in which the police do not look into alternate cases. So it's possible the department had enough and ruled it out so that they *could* investigate.
This is honestly so well done, to the point where its actually the only horror series I've seen that has ever given me a real sense of dread, all throughout watching the series so far I had goosebumps and I'm currently backed into a corner so that I can see all of my room, just in case. I cannot wait to see more of this universe.
I used to have this dream as a child, of a completely black shadowy man, with this horrifying long mouth and white teeth, and very small eyes, in this dream I would be watching the television, whereas the lights would go out, and the TV would flicker and change to a different broadcast. Then, all you can see was your driveway/front yard. and the man would be standing behind a tree, all you could hear is "I AM IN YOUR HOUSE" And after that, I would just wake up in tears and I'd be scared as shit. I had these dreams day in and day out since age 7, they stopped when my family moved in a city in ohio. I have never forgotten about this dream, and I never will. There was never anything after, I would always wake up and go back to sleep to have the same dream again, and then wake up again, on a repeat. My parents were genuinely concerned for me.
That is super terrifying to have. Knowing you're in like an almost inescapable hellhole in your own mind every night is terrifying. But hey, maybe moving to Ohio was so much more terrifying that you eventually stopped having those dreams.
I had something similar, only I'm sure it wasn't a dream. I woke up one night to see a completely black shadowy figure standing on the other side of the room opposite my head. I then vividly recall he waved, sidestepped to the other (his right) side of the room and that's it. Moreover, I can attest it wasn't a dream because mine tended to be rather abstracted then, with places I remember being heavily morphed or merged or otherwise just strange, like a group of guys in long sleeved jumpers jumping onto train tracks and then next platform; here, though, my room was completely normal.
I'm sorry bro, I had a similar nightmare where i was sleeping on a couch and something tall and black that looked like poorly molded kids putty was standing over me. It looked like slenderman, but 1000x worse.
My dreams were always the weirdest. When I was about 7-8, I had a dream where the was at my grandfather's house, we just talked for a bit until the sky turned red. Then what I assume to be a pony from an old MLP creepypasta burst through the door, and ran up to me. It said something, but I don't remember, then I just punched it in the face. I ran to the bathroom and hid in the closet, hoping I would wake up soon, then I heard an oink. Peppa pig, of all people, was outside of the closet shouting my name, and she wasn't alone, she had her father. Then she cut the door down, and it turned out she was a cardboard cutout all along, then I decided to look behind me. The entire closet was an empty void, I couldn't see anything but a floating platform a few feet away from me. I just jumped into the void, hoping to reach the platform, but failed. I fell for a few seconds, then I just woke up. I know it may not be scary, but I was genuinely scared shitless when I woke up. And let me tell you, that's not the only dream that was weird, I have a few more dreams I had.
Honestly 5:07 is legitimately frightening. Imagine being the poor investigator reviewing the photographs and you see the victims corpse smiling and wave at you, or whatever you want to consider 'Tampered with' can be, hell even just STANDING. Even without context that's scary, witch is impressive considering it's censorsed. Well done
@@farizr.batarai8271 The censor box's size wouldn't really make sense with that, but who knows. Maybe it's sitting against the wall, but it could also be that.
Theory ceasar killed mark: In ''marks soliloquy'' mark dies but in the remastered verison of ''encounter b'' we see that ceaser is edited in some werid ways. What if ceasar was an alternate all along he wanted to kill him?
That's what I first thought when I saw the conversation between Mark and Cesar, I always had a hunch Cesar was an alternate and the call was a set-up to kill Mark.
I thought that genuinely was what was happening, in the volume one video his face distorts more than Marks and he has the face of one when it comes back on
