I purchased just the mattress topper that goes on top of your existing mattress 4 years ago, it's very heavy. I'm still loving it and was wroth the money, topper runs between 300-500. My only advice is that if you purchase pillows, the Organic Pillow are extremely heavy and bulky and not that comfy.I should purchase the Eco ones. Overall, I'm very happy.
If the people who trespassed said they had been watching Kyle's videos... then that means they KNEW Kyle was gone right now and you were alone. Pretty awful!!!

My thoughts are if this was legit, you would have received letters first. That's the way of City Hall. I think someone out there wants your property so bad that they would hire people to scare you because they new you were alone at that time. This is just a scare tactic to get Kyle to sell after all the hard work that went into this beautiful property in the woods. What these people did was illegal, scary and disgusting. Ring cameras need WiFi. Off grid cabins don’t usually have access. It would have to be a simple game camera with a card which doesn’t show much. I don’t live far from them and phone service is even spotty
This was literally a mob of unruly strangers approaching your property. Number one, as a woman, that's all alone, my Second Amendment rights would be active in their face. Call the police and document that day, and you can do it no matter how much time has passed. You need to get their identity and press charges for threatening you and stalking you on social media. Document every time , date, etc. If they were from the town, they need to serve you paperwork if they can find you to serve. What this mob did was unlawful and threatening. Press charges, don't hesitate. DON'T TAKE PEOPLE threatening you from stalkers.
There is a couple with a channel called "Trout and Coffee" who posted about 11 days ago who are going through the exact same scenario as sweet Ally Marie ...it's almost haunting how similar the cases are. The townspeople came when the wife was alone and harassed her and made her feel intimidated to the point that I think she cried. The townspeople are insisting they set up a septic system and a well & probably other things as well even though they don't live there all the time. They don't have a lot of spare income, but they have put a lot of sweat equity & effort & improvements into the property. It's in Massachusetts and also by the river & it looks almost like Ally's cabin. They wouldn't listen to anything she (the wife) said & were very threatening & threatened to board up the house (perhaps even confiscating it?). Obviously, they trespassed also. Either they're rabid "shark-capitalists" or "commies" butting their noses into everybody's business. Either way, they're busybody bast__s!! Also, they're greedy bast___s!!!

@andhewonders if the town mob report them, they will receive a legal notice of a violation and a reasonable amount of time to fix it. If they don't respond to that notice, the inspector will file with a judge to schedule a hearing and serve the hearing documents on the property owner of record. So, in other words, if they can't find you to serve the paperwork, it will buy you time.
I just thought of something, you could call the town (whatever office they said they were from) and ask if they sent them. If they didn’t send someone, I would contact your sheriffs office and report them! That way it’s on record. Timeline proof of harassment. Then you can sue them.
People in the country walking up to a person's house w/ out giving a yell out to the owners is a major Don't on coming to someone's house. Trying 2 bust into a place don't be surprised if you get a face full of buckshot.
As I commented earlier on Kyle’s last video, you definitely need a lawyer to ensure the Town is acting legally and lawfully. The two main issues will be that the Township of Savoy has published building code requirements including off-grid cabins but also the State of MA has published articles on off grid living but they also refer you to local municipal bylaws. If you try to sell now, the local township can put a lien on the property and it will be frozen until resolved. This is unfortunately something Kyle will have to address with a good lawyer. Yes. Exactly. They will put a lien, and in some instance the owner, Kyle, may be unaware until he receives notice of lien. Depends on the state. I find it curious that his property has been singled out. I remember a comment he made not too long ago that he was dealing with complaints regarding the road to his house. I think some folks were not happy he did this. Maybe this is when it all began.
I really have never heard of this before! If people in a town have legal zoning concerns, the process is one of paperwork. You send a notice to the supposed offenders. I have NEVER heard of a mob showing up at the front door (short of a middle ages witch burning). This is way out of line! *And besides that, their assumptions are all incorrect.* This whole thing should be carried out by officers of the court, not a mob with torches and pitchforks. I'm assuming you guys are already consulting with a lawyer. Don't let a bunch of 'amateur detectives 'and busy bodies drive you of your land. Also, just a life lesson that I have learned. Don't make any major decision on the horns or a crisis. If you guys ever want to sell the cabin, that is fine. But don't do it because someone is pushing you to do it, based on incorrect information. Martial your resources, strengthen your resolve, and ride out the crisis... don't give in to it. And then later make a decision on your own terms.

Get a lawyer! They can’t just come and try to get in your house. The police can’t even do that without a warrant. With that said, make sure you have all your ducks in a row. Make sure all your property follows any “safety or health regulations” your town/ county has. If you built or added an “buildings, sheds, outbuildings” over a certain SQ FT, then you are supposed to get permits and or pay taxes on them. Atleast in my state!! Bullshit that they can tell you what to do on YOUR GUYS’S property. I’m so sorry.

Unfortunately the actual name does not come to mind but it is involved with seeing that justice is observed. Could you get in touch with support groups on web? What are these towns people afraid of - or are they just plain jealous ?
I watched Kyle's video and can't express how sorry I am that this happened to you. I didn't know they were at the door trying the lock!! I would've called the police. I'm so sorry. What a horrible and traumatic experience. 🥺 They had no right to come onto the property. I don’t know what law they think gave them that right, but it's like going up to a tent in the woods and starting to pull up the stakes and dismantle it! Who the heck would do that and WHY?? I'm very curious to see what they put in this supposed letter. I'd file a police report against them if I were you. You really need to. Get it on record, because that was NOT okay. And if they come back, pull out your phone and call the police immediately and then get your camera and start recording them if you can. That's a HOME. What right do they have to invade someone else's home??

It never occurred to me until reading comments that maybe they weren't from the town. Now that I think about it, if the town did have complaints about lack of permits or whatever, they would've been there months ago and asked him to stop building until he got the proper permits. And, they would've sent the Code enforcement rep and not some "mob". And the mob didn't bring any documentation whatsoever. Hmmmm.. now I'm suspicious.

Here is a little advice from someone who has had a similar experience, first get a lawyer. Second get all of your legal papers together, land deed, any letters or papers from the town ( it doesn't matter if they are from this incident or those in the past) and document of everything you have done including when you are at the cabin or not. Ok the next step is to do some soul searching. I know you and Kyle have put a lot of time and money into the cabin and you both love it but you need to think about what is best for the two of you. Is it best to continue to fight the town? Is it best to put your money, skill and love into a place were you will have some peace and can build a life together? Good Luck, Ally
Intrusive 100% correct. Intrusive to rights, mind and property. They want to cite petty violations by violating your right..those town employees are liable and in over their heads now. Kyle didnt build the cabin did he? Its had some renovations inside to make it pissible and you've finished the siding.. Regardless on whether you decide to or not to keep the off grid property for whatever reasons. .file a police report immediately. Have issued a Restraining order/ no contact order if it gives you more security also.
Ally, your new house in the woods will bless you in ways you cannot yet imagine. If you need to let the cabin go, let it go with faith that it will provide someone else the growth it provided you. You will be OK. Your life will be good with or without the cabin. The two of you must make the best decision for your health and joy. We are with you whatever you choose.

The irony is that so many of us--from all ages and walks of life--find joy and peace from watching your videos all while you've been dealing with such stress. It's also alarming that they wanted to enter the property. I would be concerned they have ulterior motives. Please take care of yourself and your mental health. To those of you that trespassed on Kyle and Ally’s property- You violated the law. You illegally trespassed. You purposefully intimidated with intent to coerce. You tried to enter without consent. This constitutes Breaking & Entering. You should be ashamed of yourselves. Your actions are now in the public eye for clear and transparent exposure. I strongly suggest you conduct yourself in a manner which is respectful and in accordance with the law as you may possibly be looking at incarceration and at the very least a DVRO with a record of conviction and probation. However , it needs to be said, shame on all of you. You should be supporting your neighbors and lifting each other up. The acts you all committed are why we have laws to protect ourselves against people who have no problem committing crimes like you all did. And to Kyle and Ally, my intent with this message is not to cause problems for you. You clearly are good people. My intent is to connect with those who perpetrated this crime against you and shine a light on their criminal behavior. No matter how far we all live apart on this land, we are all Americans and we protect each other’s sovereignty and constitutional rights. I bought a few acres in a little town in Northern Ontario canada..it was my dream..property..on a 3 season road ..no hydro ..no water...but we made it our own....we put a 5th wheel trailer on it and served us well..except the $600 a year trailer tax...jump ahead 12 years ..my family has grown...now we find out only one trailer allowed per lot... The town is making my daughter get rid of her pop up camper.... Wish I had bought in an un organized town....my only option is to build a 600 sq foot cabin...but no funds for that right now...so the battle continues....thanx for posting this video....I can feel your frustration..
I’m so impressed with your composure and ability to shift your perspective into a positive direction. You are doing something I have never had the guts or fortitude to even try. I realize it’s not easy, but it would appear you have thousands of people who believe in your journey, not even counting your family or Kyle, so let that be a good reminder when faced with doubts or some of the ugliest of people. Set up battery powered security cameras around the property if you feel unsafe, or you feel this will happen again 'it probably will' so you will have evidence of the trespassing dates/times/people who are doing it so you can press charges or have evidence if they try to take you to court, you will have evidence for a countersuit.

I knew that those people were legitimately trespassing and weren't following the process if they had issues with anything. Now it's even more clear with your video. If you are there legally, you should have papers to prove it is your property. I hope you followed all the laws in your area for ownership and possess permits for building before you started this project. I'm sorry you are having this problem. There is no excuse for people being nasty and showing up only to make your life miserable with harassment. Have you considered security cameras? If you can prove they are trespassing, it should help your case in court, if it comes to that.
Always take good care of yourself. You're a very created soul and inspiring. What those town's people are trying to do to you is wrong and most likely not legal, it's bullying. It's wild to me the bullying that can happen from local town government and people, when you both are tax paying citizens doing good things and not disturbing the land. This is sadly true :( the world isn’t perfect! Theres awful people, and when you are made aware there are people who knows of you and even tried to break in-- do all you can to keep yourself safe, every small action you make should be considered for your safety!!

Ally quick thought. I’d put an orange trail flag ribbon on the each the cable and the chain. If someone claimed they didn’t see it and ran into it you could be liable. Just watching out for you guys.
I am ticked for you. Did you violate some building regulations or rules? Maybe, but you are young and this is all new and the layers of bureaucracy we live with in the US is hard to keep track of. When they said they watch your videos that did it for me! Then they knew Kyle was away and you are NOT the owner. Boy did they overstep and they should know better! Makes me very suspicious of the legitimacy of their claims if they are using intimidation and harassment as a means to an end. There are proper ways to do things and that isn’t it.
Eamon and Bec on RU-vid added a long stairway to the water at their cottage in north Ontario and neighbors put in a complaint with the town, but it was done properly by a notice sent in the mail. Nobody came knocking at their door with no notice or tried to barge in, as that I'd illegal to do. Find out what the problem with the county is and get it rectified. Best of luck.
Agree with previous reply, Beside ring put other cameras on other areas like the driveway. They have to have a warrent to enter your house. I would put a sign that says "Your with in range" Some people get a little power they just like to throw it around. If it is a year round home then they need to maintain the road all year.

I watched Kyle's video. been thinking a bit more about this , because so far , I've seen three You Tuber off gridders get harassed by viewers recently. First off, did you get their names, did they have ID/badges? If you got their names, verify that they actually do work for the town. That info may be public record . Usually they would have law enforcement present because, I mean, my God , how many landowners would not hesitate to defend their property ? They silently approached the porch and jiggled the lock? Seriously? This smells of mafia. Did you call the SHERRIF? (not the police the sheriff). So what then, they board up the property and do what, "condemn" it? For what? lack of septic? (which Kyle said wasn't needed because it's a hunting cabin) . Lack of a WELL? What? that's not illegal . Many vacation cabins cart in their water. So they obviously want to confiscate the property . Now, do you want these people as neighbors? Or let's say, you sell the property. Would those new buyers want them poking around? I would also get some game cameras pointed at the driveway gate, BTW. With a pair of bolt cutters, you could cut that Master Lock in two seconds. You really need a swing gate. But that's a start. And why didn't they serve you papers on site. To enter inside, they'd need a search warrant , and be accompanied by law enforcement.

Just like I told Kyle, put No Trespassing signs up at the driveway. County/city officials still need permission to go onto your property and they should have identified themselves. Please do not let them stress you, this sounds like some non-official crazy folks.
I haven’t seen Kyle’s video (don’t know his channel) yet to get more information…..if the paperwork even shows up, an affidavit of proof to their assumptions is needed, without having to get a lawyer. I’m suspish of anyone showing up without an official letter, or notice. If this is a code violation, they have to give you notice in writing. Just showing up seems so shady!

So the cabin is in the city? In my area of the country you need permits to do lots of construction work but not just sprucing up a house. Laws are different everywhere tho so hard to know what to advise other than getting a lawyer as others have suggested.
