If Quickbooks wants to force desktop users to cloud version, that’s fine but they are charging full price for every company file you have in online edition. On desktop version you can have 5, 10, 30 files if you want without the added cost. This is big issue and should be addressed in videos so clients don’t get a big surprise when they are forced to move.
Hello Hector Garcia, I do bookkeeping for a small store. They use QB desktop. There are lots of items "unresolved" from past ten years and they keep getting forwarded from reconciliation to reconciliation. Basically we need to clean this up. Great breakdown of the latest QuickBooks updates. The new features for both Desktop and Online look promising. However, the price increases are a bummer. Has anyone explored alternative accounting software options in light of these changes? It might be worth considering if the added costs don't justify the new features.

I just completed that for two of my companies. Pretty simple to do online, just need to have an official document (I used driver licenses) for the owners of the company on hand to upload. They are just looking for potential foreign ownership. I don't think it applies to non profits. I'm sure Hector's video explains it in further detail. If you don't have many partners or layers of LPs, etc, in the ownership structure it shouldn't take more than a few minutes to complete.
