In this video, I will show you how to take one of your artworks and split it up with a view finder. Then, I discuss how the book, "Steal Like an Artist" by Austin Kleon has inspired the next part of my process. Copying and Plagiarism happens when we take one persons work and recreate it. The magic happens when you pull inspiration from a variety of sources and artists that inspire you. Collect lots of work. Discover what drew you to that artwork- the colors, line work, shapes, or patterns. The more influences you are aware of and pull from can help you develop your own style. Put it all together into an original work of your own.
