l still use my little old trusty A5 sized Wacom from 20 years ago and I tell you why! As a meanwhile elder person with (widely known among artists) severe handwrist arthritis, every inch I do NOT have to move my hand, it's a godsend to me. Keep that in mind!
I am a working mom (33 years old) who has just finished her first year of college. I am using adobe creative suite and traditional mediums to create my work. I managed to work 30 hours a week, attend college full time (art and design with a focus on graphic design) and I have a 6 and 8 year old. I am not eligible to win since I am Canadian but wanted to let you know how much I appreciate these videos. Buying the kids new shoes today but maybe one day I can afford one of these.
I’ve been into drawing for a long time. Took some classes at the local JC and started drawing on my iPad as an intro to digital art. This looks like an awesome way to up my experience
Love the content Stene. And love the mindset of the artist makes the art not his utensils (or electronics in this case). The outro was great too hahaha. Awesome channel. I'm going to be getting the intuos I've been torn between the two. But want it to be able to make detailed drawings describing what projects I''m currently working on. Love the page and hope that tablet goes to a good home at the 1,000 sub mark.
Well done video! I appreciate the honesty and attention to personal funding. Thank you for also giving insightful information regarding practicality and use. Thinking of using this tablet for Nursing School note taking and digital concept mapping! Overall, very helpful!
I used a Wacom intuos Draw small for 6 years and I was like "well, I know I can do better with a medium size tablet" And a couple of month ago, the Intuos medium was on 60% discount (unfortunately the intuos pro wasn't on a crazy discount like this one) and wow. Medium size is really an improvement for me, I was able to move my arm no problem (and avoid carpal tunnel!) The pressure sensitivity is good, but no one is going to notice how many you have, you only notice how much you pressure the pen. I'm happy with my Intuos M, but I still dream for a pro version 😅
The first WACOM tablet I had was large. I constantly had to reach out too far, back and forth, to draw and was giving myself sore back and shoulders, so I had to reduce the usable area down to the medium-size area anyway. I don't use the express keys, but I'll have to upgrade my old 2009-model Intuos soon, since WACOM won't be supporting it much longer.
Currently I am using a Huion H420 which is really small. Sometimes I struggle to draw on it. If I win this tablet I can have a much bigger drawing area. That will be an advantage for me! Then I can make my comic illustrations much better. I would love to have it!
You didn't really give any information at all. Why is the intuos pro better than the regular intuos? Why does it cost twice as much as the regular? Why is the regular intuos for highschoolers and not professionals?
Hi Andre, Firstly, Thank you so much for watching my video and taking time to comment, it is really appreciate. That is said with all sincerity. In regards to which is better, my goal was to recommend a tablet for people at different levels or commitment levels. Neither tablet is "better". I believe in this video I'm stating that if you have a child or you are someone that just wants to "dabble" in digital art but not sure what you want to do to get the Wacom Intuos to save some money. However if you have a child or are an artist and you know "YES! I want to draw, YES I want to learn to digitally draw, I LOVE THIS AND WILL NEVER STOP!" Then treat yourself and get the Wacom Intuos Pro. You won't regret it. I still use my old Intuos4 from 2010 from time to time. In the end it is not the piece of equipment that makes a person a good artist, we (Including myself) fall into that trap so many times. I have some many paint tubes and brushes because Jeremy Lipking uses this paint, Ryan Woodward uses this pencil, Terryl Witlatch uses a basic BIC .05 cheapo mechanical pencil. The idea is, understand and be honest to yourself about what level you want to be at and get the according tablet to save money. That is my goal, help you to save money and not get to much or a tablet. There are so many videos that go over the technical piece, I was looking to be a little different to speak to "save money, what is your passion level, get tablet 'X'." Hope that helps. Again thank you so much for watching and commenting, it is so appreciated. Have a great week. 🎨🌊🤙
@@SteneArtStudios Thank you for the answer. I came to your video because I'm thinking of "downgrading" from a cintiq to an intuos and I was shocked that the pro version costs twice as much as the regular intuos and the only differences I find are the pressure levels and some extra buttons. Two features that I honestly find useless, never use the shortcut buttons on the tablets and 4K pressure levels are more than enough. I think I'll go for the trusty regular intuos
Wow!!! Thar is amazing you neer use the shortcut buttons on the tablet. I have mine set up for Brush, Erase, CTRL-Z, and color pick. Love the dial for brush and eraser size adjustment. If you know you don't want buttons definitely go with your choice and save 💵💵. Have a great day!!
@@lun321 My brother lent me his old intuos but I haven't switched from my cintiq yet. But looking at the difference in features, I don't see a reason to go for the more expensive version
I draw a lot and want to try out different mediums. I've been pretty interested in digital art lately but never got a chance to try it out. It would be very helpful if I could win this 😊! Thanks for this giveaway ❤! Wish you guys luck.
I've had old and new versions of Intuos for many years, I'm a professional artist now and I need to buy new tablet, but here Pro costs twice as much an Intuos and I'm not really sure it's worth it...
Thank you for taking time to like and comment. It is really appreciated. Specs were not reviewed because the thinking was the user knows what they want but is not sure if they should get that certain model. For example when I bought the pro model I was unsure if it would be money wasted (have it and use it 12 years later). So I was breaking up into where a person's artistic level would be. Let me know if you have any other questions. Have a great day! 😁🤙
Is wacom one and the one by wacom different? I am looking for a good intermediate one for my teen. Was thinking of getting the Wacom One High Definition Creative Pen Display, Small Drawing Tablet With Screen it is about $350. She is really into digital design plus she can use it for online school. Any opinions?
To answer your question, the "Wacom One" is a pen display that you can connect to your desktop, laptop. According to Wacom's website you can even connect is to "certain Android tablets or smartphones." This would be great for traveling around and drawing directly on the screen. The "One by Wacom" (very confusing due to similar names) is an entry level drawing tablet that connects to a laptop or desktop. It is NOT a pen display like the Wacom One. If she is really into digital design I would say "go for it!" Drawing on a screen like the Wacom One is a bit easier. When drawing on a tablet there is a small "learning curve" as you have to get used to looking at the screen and drawing on the tablet, out of eye view. It's not tough, just takes some time getting used to. Below is an affiliate Amacon link taking you to the Wacom One. Let me know if you have any questions. amzn.to/3O92xpn
I would go medium as it is very versatile and easily be packed up if you want to digitally draw outside. Hope that helps. Thanks for watching and commenting. 🎨🤙
@@SteneArtStudios thanks for getting back! It means a lot. So basically, if I have to choose between more drawing space and pro features, spacing is the way to go right? It is just that the standard medium and the small pro are pretty much the same price here in the UK. Thanks again!
I'm trying t sav money to win this i guess? I want to learn animation. and specifically when it comes to 3d animation or CGI using a pen would be more useful than my mouse due to pressure control. and I think this would be easier in the long run for me. I have two other sisters(im a triplet) so saving on money is useful for me. especially considering how high prices have been going up.
Yeah I wish I could do a giveaway like this internationally. However we will do a gift card giveaway if an international person is picked and the country they live in allows it. Have a great day. 🌊🤙🎨
