Inunaki Tunnel | 犬鳴トンネル - Japanese Folklore Inspired Horror Game Set in the "Howling Dog Tunnel" VOLUME WARNING! Available On Steam Here: store.steampowered.com/app/11...
Jizou statues are basically guardian deities. So it looks like if you fulfill certain requirements including repairing all of them you can get the good ending
this was based on true location which an urban legend says that a man was murdered by teenagers and burnt to death... also Takashi Shimizu (Ju On's director) made a movie titled *Howling Village* based on the same tunnel
Japanese Horror games are very well crafted. The maps they put you in seem organic and too close to real life. It lets you really slip into the story and suspend your disbelief.
Everybody be freaked out and scared like a little girl when seeing invinsible stuff talk and drops items down like wind when they should be terrified by *real demons from Asia.*
This channel is the one I get the most excited to get notifications from. I know I am going to see something pretty unique each time. Also I swear some big streamers like to show these same games within a week of you showing them. But always after you.
John Carey I noticed that! The bigger youtubers always post the same game after Alpha Beta. Maybe it’s due to all the editing and effects they add in to their videos.
Many of these big streamers talk over gameplays, totally destroying the mood. Also they throw in a lot of one liners and their jokes suck donkey's balls. I wonder how they get so many viewers. Alpha beta gamer's channel is pure gold
It’s almost certainly because there’s overlap between fans of ABG and fans of these streamers, and when they see a game here that they think their favorite streamer would enjoy, they recommend the game to them.
I’m guessing this is by the same people who did the “Convenience Store”, it’s got the same type of atmosphere and PS1 look plus knows how to scare the crap out of ya when most of the gameplay is just utter silence.
There’s a Junji Ito manga about a similar tunnel to this if anyone’s interested. I don’t think it was specifically one from the urban myth, but definitely seemed inspired by it.
They are really going in with these Japanese folklore games now. I don’t really play games anymore unless I get the urge to play some EXVS2 at my local Taito Game-station, but it reminds me of a Playstation series called “サイレン” or Siren when it released for all you westerners great game and eventho I don’t game as much i still collect old Ps games here in Japan. I wish i could find these games but I guess they are pc only?
I am kinda mixed. While I do enjoy Chilla’s Art’s style, I hope they branch out a little further from just this same style of footage gameplay (along with the interface and design, you can almost always tell right off the bat it’s them. Sometimes good but... It looks like it’s chapters of the same game rather than different games sometimes.) They have good atmosphere and knowledge on building tension but the style to me is becoming stale to see over and over. Buuuut on the other hand I know they’re having a lot of fun and it’s only two brothers last I knew. I can’t fault them for doing what they love, especially when it’s just them. Here’s just to hoping they branch out soon, I’ll continue to support them. (Also I know this is an older game and I do like that Convenience Store does have a lot of elements that differ from their past titles. I am very excited to see what they do next :3) I also hope they get a little better at endings, the buildup for most of their games is almost too good for the pay off some of them have, including Convenience Store.
Could be they dug up the plans for the tunnel system, or yeah, went inside. The scariest thing in places like this in reality is hobos and junkies anyway, so they were p r o b a b l y fine.
Holy shit I love the atmosphere these games have. Not to mention these devs in particular seem to know what they're doing. I hope we see more from them in the future.
@@belluhhh7140 Oh my god exactly! I've had this same thought more and more often during these videos. Part of me wishes ABG would stop covering them already, because hopefully if no one gives them attention then maybe that would show them to actually put more thought into this stuff.
I love these type of games. The convenience store, Walk, etc. I love how they all have the 90's VHS style quality like the first Silent Hill/old PS1/ps2 games. Thank you for uploading these!!! 🤘
*_We're stuck in a place so dark_* *_You can hardly see_* *_The manner of matter that splits with the words I breathe_* *_And as the rain drips acidic questions around me_* *_I block out the sight of the powers that be_* *_And duck away into the darkness_* *_Time's up_* *_I wind up in a rusted world with eyes shut so tight that it blurs into the world of pretend_* *_And the eyes ease open_* *_And it's dark again_*
What's the groaning person/animal/whatever, at the end, after the ghostly woman? Is it a dog? It's really dark, but it kind of looks more like a person with a bandaged head. Is it the POV character, groaning in pain?
Most asian ghost are more scarier than european and middle east, because most asian ghost were female with long dark hair Ps : i really confused with second puzzle about that clock, how did you know it? Is 90's person dead means buried alive?
*jApAnEsE hOrRoR gAmE oH* That’s you. That’s all of you. Chill out. That said, this game is freaking great. And I appreciate how you actually try to take in the full experience.
I'm disappointed you didn't show us the different ending. It was obviously leading up to something. Instead you ended it with a jumpscare which feels like a waste of time.
