It’s a destoyer

Sadly, the Destroyer filmed in this video is completely false. They travel in groups, and if something is spotted, even an F22, it is disintegrated so fast that the pilot cannot even figure out which is firing. The Destroyer also died pretty quickly, realistically it would have floated for an extra.. forever. Destroyers have a thing called CiW systems which target and destroy missiles.

However, a destroyer is still considered a warship (duh), and as far as I'm concerned, any military ship that has any type of weapon systems on it, weather that be a destroyer, Cruiser, or for all I care, a weaponized fishing boat, is considered a "warship", it's a universal term for, well, ships used in war.

Now that I have a little bit more knowledge in aviation combat as I play DCS more often, I can agree with the fact that this video has 0 realism I know 0 things about CIWS so the CIWS not being able to track aircraft was surprising, I mean if it could track missiles it could track aircrafts too right? maybe not. correct me if im wrong. But the F-22 doesn't "jam" radar, it deflects radar signature into different directions so the radar can't recieve any incoming pulse that it shot towards the aircraft. I know a bit about the tomahawks though. The tomahawks are a cruise missile, which in this case an Arleigh Burke class destroyer is firing one towards the "enemy's base". Tomahawks are made for Ship-to-ground, so they have a pretty decent warhead and probably aren't the size of a water bottle since if it was, the navy wouldn't be using it. From images I've seen, it looks like the Tomahawk's warhead exploding can cause explosions up to 3 stories high or even higher, correct me if I'm wrong (I also haven't heard about any air launched tomahawks? Maybe you were talking about SLAM-ERs but I don't really know) (also there wouldn't be a mushroom cloud at all if the explosion was the size of a water bottle :e:) Tomahawks are launched from ground (usually ships), not air. The missile you're talking about on the f-14 is probably the AIM-54 Pheonix, not the tomahawk. I don't know this for sure, but im pretty sure the f-22 doesn't have any air-to-ground missiles, only dummy bombs or JDAMs.. (which makes the video even more unrealistic) Air launched IR missles used by the US Airforce / Navy is primarily the Sidewinder, so yes you were correct Since this is 5 months ago, I think you already know this but yeah.. sorry for writing a literal document on a 5 month old comment (I just like talking about military stuff even though I know nothing about it :lol:)
