Looking really interesting despite fiddliness, that's why I have bought the game as well. But looking at the board I think I'll use off map displays and my numbered wooden pieces on board to track armies etc, as they look a bit big for the board itself...

I played the Roman Empire as two different nations this only starts on turn 3. I should have played both using the Western Empire turn number.
