Lemon grass, dried chilli powder, fresh chili dice, dice garlic, ginger. Fish sauce, msg. Bring to low boil, with lid on for 10 mins. Problem solved. Dip into fish sauce, chili, sugar, water mix. (I like adding sour jar of bamboo at asian grocery stores).

U think 10 mins would be enough? When considering a high risk of parasites, would u consider something more thorough? Though both Chili and garlic would also work as a contingency, or is it cayennepeber I'm thinking of 🤔 honey works wonders as well but I don't think it would work well with shellfish 😅

What parasites can survive a good long boiling?? I would treat them carefully as seafood - we got ways to overcome both poison and parasites, so why not? as long as u r careful, it shouldn't be more dangerous than sushi 🍣 especially with the marked up meat prices in the US right now, I would definitely not be picky. It can teach the food industry to not plan their prices among themselves, cuz ppl will at some point be without or either buy a cheaper replacement or find it in nature 💸 especially at this time at year where food can ve found almost everywhere, but oc be careful ☝🏼

people need to stop dumping there pets. the amount of people who lack the ability to take care of fish is concerning, also regulating the snails will just make the problem worse, they did the same thing in the UK with a species of turtle and ofcourse instead of facing legal problems people dumped there pets. also I'm surprised they call common mystery snails "mystery snails" the Chinese mystery is more like a trapdoor snail. being that it births live young and the shape of the shell. also what do these snails actually damage in the ecosystem. I've kept various snails and all they ever eat is waste and decaying matter. I've never witness a mystery snail go after healthy plants. usually in the instance of an aquarium I'd say they play a vital role with breaking down waste and leftover food into nutrients for plants.
