The paper keeps it from being scratched. Even wrapping them in plastic wrap is enough to scratch them. I found it easier to put the screws and t slots on the stiffener first and then pop them in. Also the belts are supposed to go over the top of the clip to the last slot and then you thread them underneath. That keeps the clip from bending.
Wouldn’t it have been easier to just thread nuts on and then insert in track and tighten and let them turn and lock? I have this kit, but purchased before I assembled the machine, so hoping to put on during assembly.

@@BigCountrysWay I went on a few adventures with the laser stuff, Jtech is TOP NOTCH, i thought about getting one even at around 700 something bucks for the rock n roll one, had to pump the breaks and get some scratch back from what we got around here haha. I'll check it out and leave some action
Dude so I got a center mount to go along with this and it’s the most stable I’ve ever seen it. I did a burn on 100 year old oak and it looked like vinyl…. I wish I could upload pictures to show you. The center mount I got I ordered from Jtech
