This was Inverclyde Ramblers low level circular walk by the river Tweed, we had a wonderful day for the walk, as everyone happily walked off on the walk through Hay lodge park following the river tweed we passed Neidpath castle the railway viaduct then onwards to Lynn mill crossing the footbridge over the river tweed we headed through the woodland Millbraehead then onwards to Barns tower along a tree lined path shortly after passing Barns towerwe walked through some lovely rolling countryside down to the banks of the river Tweed again heading for Manor Bridge then crossing the bridge we picked up the old rail track (path) heading for the Peebles rail viaduct leading us into the old Peebles 600 metre rail tunnel passing through it was quite exciting knowing that above you was Southpark wood then on exiting the tunnel it was only a short walk to the iron footbridge across the tweed crossing the bridge we walked through Hay Lodge Park into town the end of our walk.
Distance walked was 8 mile time taken was 4hrs (excluding breaks)
