The inverse square law turns up an a variety of areas - from light, electrical charge and gravitation - but what is it? How do we derive it.
This video explains all that - what it is, how it is derived and a mathematical example thrown in for good measure

Please explain the logic behind mathematics

What happens to the Intensity of the light measured at 1 wavelength? What about when measured inside 1 wavelength? What is the intensity at the source? Also what if just measure for longer amount of time? The more distant detector is farther away it so in a sense it has more time in it.

So the moon's light on earth is 1/4 lumen per square meter. How do we do the math to determine how bright the moon is at it's surface. Cool video, but please do the math we all want to see. ;)

Will do. Give me a week or so

@@PhysicsHigh yes! that'd be much appreciated. Your views will blow up, but be weary of the FE community should you choose to counter their claims. ;)

Yeh I bemoan the FE community. Should check out the comments in my Michelson Morley video. Can you clarify what you would like me to explain?

Just clarifying If we receive .25 lumen per sq meter, knowing the moons distance you want to know how much ENERGY is coming off the moon?

@@PhysicsHigh Both FE and moon hoaxers believe that if you apply the inverse square law of the moon's light here on earth, that this math would make the moon itself outrageously bright. So bright that there is no way anyone could have walked on it without visors (there are many photos of Apollo missions where astronauts are not using their shades), and that the photos of the moon walk are not accurate to how bright the moon would be. I have heard this repeated on my channels but have seen no attempt of anyone actually doing the math. If you take the moon's lumens on a full moon and clear night (it casts shadows, you can read by it) and you apply the inverse square law, how bright does that make the surface of the moon? That's what I would love to see. And I'm sure many in the FE community would also love (or hate!) to see.

Dare call me an idiot, but, I want to know about the exact opposite of this >>>>> "Square Law", and yet I come up completely blank. That said, if this is a "LAW" where's the other side of "inverse"? This is what's known as THINKING instead of just 'trusting'.. Trust = BRAINWASH 🇺🇸

Crushing! But can you do the math? My brother laughs at my "conspiracies". Can you or anyone break down why the inverse square law ruins the moon story? I dont know how to apply lux and lumens measured in square meters into this equation. I'm a music teacher, and suck at math.
